Scratch that - I reinstalled, and all is good, and export is working fine for me. – Richard Dallaway, on November 03, 2009 22:28

Possibly related: I have a session of 13 seconds duration, using Silverback 1.1.1 (306) on Mac OS 10.6.1 and when I export (Best, 100%) the progress dialog drifts in and out very quickly, but I end up with no export file on disk. I don't get a crash. The system log says "Export Session Beginning" and then "Export Session Ended".-

Pressing "Cancel" when an export is running should stop the export.I found pressing cancel, and then waiting 10 minutes had no results. I had to kill the process.

It looks like exporting to external disk uses up space on the internal diskI'm exporting to an external disk (where I have lots of space), but as the export is running I'm getting perilously close to using up all the disk on my, um, "internal" disk. Assuming Silverback is using my internal disk in some way... it'd be great if there was an option to say "use the external drive for temporary files" or something like that.-

What's the best way to use Silverback from multiple user accounts? How can I use Silverback from a different user account? I installed Silverback onto a laptop as my regular user account. When it came time to run a usability test, I created a new "demo" login so there would be no crud on the desktop/dock etc, and launched Silverback (I didn't install it again). The application launched just fine, and recorded a session, but when I stopped the session and returned to the front screen of the application there was a pause (possibly the regular spinner) and then Silverback crashed and submitted an error report. So... what's the right way to set up Silverback on a second login?

Should I be worried by "3ivx : Simple Profile. Attempting to delegate." errors?Looking at my /var/log/system.log while Silverback is exporting video, I see this message over and over:
Feb 10 17:45:41 toto [0x0-0x270270].com.clearleft.Silverback[6426]: 3ivx : Simple Profile. Attempting to delegate. This can be changed in the 3ivx MPEG-4 Preference Pane.

I guess I have 3ivx installed (possibly via the Flip Video) and it is in some way interacting (or not) with Silverback.
