I was able to view the slideshow with both Firefox and IE. Are you sure you have the Flash player on IE?

Yes

- for installed version of wordpress, just grab the embed code and put into your blog post
- for (hosted) wordpress.com blog, copy the code for the wordpress blogs given on the slideshow page; it should work

Also, is this Wordpress.com or an installed version of Wordpress? The answer may vary depending on your case.

You should not need a plugin for this. I just added a slidecast embed in a wordpress blog (using the code for wordpress.com). It works fine on my browser. Can you tell me what you see when you go here: http://rashmi.wordpress.com/2007/04/1...
