Premium Subscriptions to Keep the Doors OpenAfter I read this article and then someone mentioned SaveNetRadio I thought that marketing premium accounts as helping keep the doors of net radio stations open might be a stopgap until the rules are reformed. Perhaps I'm understanding the issue to simplistically, but if you can increase revenue without increasing song plays, that will reduce the percentage of revenue that goes to these ridiculous fees, right? I am telling all my friends that use net radio (even rely on it to get through the day in some cases) to step up and pay for a premium subscription. Perhaps there should be a way to allow us to specify that that is the reason we're subscribing so you can present that as evidence of your users' support.-

BrightKite checkins to trigger location based reminders. When BrightKite releases their API, I'd like my checkins on BrightKite to be able to trigger reminders from Sandy. So, I could say, "Sandy, remind me to talk with Professor Smith about the Awesome Initiative next time I'm at school." Then, when I checkin at school, Sandy could know I'm at school and can talk with Professor Smith. Of course, BrightKite apps (like what is coming in June for iPhone if their job listings are any indication) would be able (either via GPS or the current method) to automatically check in.
Perhaps this is something that BrightKite would need to allow users to configure and post notifications to Sandy rather than Sandy polling BrightKite's API. Either way, I think this could be a really powerful tool for managing location specific tasks and reminders.-

Evernote should autorotate images.I'd like Evernote to handle autorotation of images. Seems like it would be easier to recognize text if images were rotated.-

Jamie Phelps reported a problem in I want Sandy on February 18, 2008 21:30:
Subscribing to iCal feed in BackpackOK, here's the deal. I wanted to subscribe to my private iCal feed in my Backpack calendar. There is functionality for this and I have been able to subscribe to my Sandy feed in iCal. In order to help with the issue on their end a 37Signals rep told me I'd have to give them my private iCal feed URL. I'm not inclined to do so. Is there anything that you at Values of N can do to work with the 37signals folks on this? I'm rather tired of trying.

Jamie Phelps replied on February 04, 2008 14:25 to the idea "Sharing tags?" in I want Sandy:
In my vision of this, it would be a mutual thing. So, if my wife is out shopping, she could query Sandy like this. "d s l @shopping" and get all of our shopping things and I could do the same. Perhaps linking a tag to a person would be good? So, in my Sandy settings, I could have a tag @wife and then when I do a query, I could do it like this "d s l @shopping @wife" and get all of both of our items tagged with @shopping.
If you're from a programming background this would work similar to the keypath stuff in many programming scenarios such as Ruby on Rails and Cocoa on Mac OS X. Basically, this would be requesting @wife.@shopping, which means to get the person tagged @wife and get their @shopping items.
This could prove to be a very powerful feature for many people, and it would be one that would be there if you need it but not in the way if you don't, which are always the best kinds of features. :D
