Hi there. What browser / OS are you using? This feature works properly for me on my Mac with Firefox.
Worst case scenario I could tag all your contacts for you with something like "all contacts", so that if you wanted to invite all your contacts to a party you could just enter that text in the invite box, and avoid having to deal with the "check all" feature. If you'd end up liking me to do that just e-mail me directly at russell at crush3r.com.

The only people that receive an event summary from crusher are those that have signed up, registered, and kept the checkbox on for receiving updates.
Then, a corner case, if you invite someone to a party, and they respond yes, and your party has more than 5 types of activity in a day - we will send a single e-mail to a person that tells them that a summary e-mail is available and that they can opt-in if they'd like. If they do nothing, no further e-mails will be received.
Have you seen something other than this happening?

I agree with Cupcake 7361. I have been trying to convert my office to Crusher, but because many of my invitees are senior level leadership (for some of my events - going away parties, etc,) I am leery of subjecting them to more "upates," which ARE construed by them as Spam -- especially because our work e-mail is closely watched by our IT guys.
I guess I will have to use it only for personal events, with personal e-mails, but those happen far more infrequently, and it's back to e-vite for our numerous large events.
There should be a place on the invite where we can select an option for guests to NOT receive anything from Crusher but the invite.

Russell replied on January 31, 2008 17:46 to the question "I uploaded a new picture on my profile, but my invite still shows my old one. How do I make my invite show my new profile picture?" in Crusher:
Hi there :) This is because we now allow each invite to have different pictures. To change an existing invitation go to your invite, click "Edit Description", and then click the "spin" text over your picture. That should do it.
We assumed most people would be ok with this, but maybe not. Do you think it'd be useful to have a checkbox when you uploaded your picture that asks if you want to update the pictures on your existing invites?

To try and further clarify:
Crusher is very different from evite in that it is more than just an RSVP tool with ads tattered on top. It is possible to have more activity on the page before and after the event.
We think it is really useful for guests to have the opportunity to keep up with the activity but we don't want to force activity mailers on anyone. So, if any, we send one that essentially says "do nothing and you will receive nothing more. But if you like getting the stuff like (this) then you might want to click here."
In addition, every mailer has a link to "unsubscribe". This is placed at the end of the event title link. Perhaps it needs to be made more visually prominent.

Hey There, here's how we work now: (also note any of these activity e-mails are all about encouraging collaboration on your page and not driving ad revenue.)
When people sign-up for crusher they can choose whether or not to receive activity e-mails. They can also go to their account anytime and enable/disable. If they have it enabled, and RSVP yes to a page, then they will receive activity notifications.
Then non-registered people, who respond Yes, receive 1 e-mail if your page has a significant amount of activity drawing them to participate. That e-mail allows people to subscribe to further messages if they'd like, but by default will only send the one.
We are totally against spam and want people to have fun! :-) This approach has been working for us the past 4 months .. any suggestions for improvement are welcome :^)

I've had a few invitees complain about the daily summaries... I'm trying to convert the Evite drones over to Crush3r and the unsolicited emails weren't helping my cause. esp. since those ppl who just rsvp's without creating an account could not change the option to receive daily updates without creating one. This, I was informed, was "as fascist as evite". Ouch.
Russell replied on January 14, 2008 05:50 to the question "How do I put in listserv addresses? And how can my invitees rsvp seperatly?" in Crusher:
As another suggestion: If you have a crusher account you could go to your contacts screen. Then click on Add New and copy / paste the emails from the first list in to the top box and give it a tag in the bottom box like list1, same with 2nd and 3rd list. Then when you invite everyone you can use the tag list1 for inviting. Not quite as easy as using the list feature evite has, but we'll be getting to it soon :-)
