A comment on the problem "I'm not able to update to v.0.83" in Seesmic:
I'm running Vista on my HP desktop. Interestingly, I've got Windows XP on my Thinkpad and the latest version of Twhirl is working well on it. Over the weekend, I copied the Twhirl files and moved them to my desktop. Twhirl seems to be working well, but it's in my documents file rather than programs file. Don't know if any of this is a problem. Comments? – lizguthridge, on July 07, 2008 21:33

Unable to upgrade or uninstall twhirl! Please help!I am unable to upgrade from 0.81 to 0.82 or 0.83, nor can I uninstall twhirl.
I get the following message when I try to upgrade:
"Sorry. an error has occurred.
An error occurred while updating the application. Try updating it again. If the problem persists, contact the application author."
And if I try to uninstall Twhirl (by selecting more options and then clicking uninstall), I get the same message, except everywhere the above message says "updating" it says "uninstalling" instead.-

Brady replied on July 03, 2008 19:06 to the problem "Indiscriminate Locations?" in Brightkite:
Hi Dadditude
This is because place stream radiuses, if close enough, will overlap. We have done the on purpose as Brightkite aims to make serendipitous encounters happen. In the near future places will be able to configure the radius at which a it will pick up content from. Until then we have the default radius for a place set at around 200ft.

Indiscriminate Locations? Two adjacent businesses (restaurants, in this case) are showing up as the same place on brightkite.com. KFC - http://brightkite.com/places/ad88b0d5... and Eat 'n Park - http://brightkite.com/places/95382a1e... are showing the notes from both locations.
