If you install the latest version from http://dalelane.co.uk/files/wmwiki.zip then you should be able to edit pages up to 64k characters in length.

If you need to create pages larger than that, sorry - that is unlikely to be supported any time soon.

How do you know you've got the correct driver / COM port etc.?

I ask because the trace shows that my app is getting gibberish out of the COM port.

There are two main options:
1) Use an adaptor - something that converts a serial socket into a USB plug you can put into your laptop.

2) Buy an all-in-one cable - that has the adaptor integrated into it, so you plug directly from the CurrentCost meter into your laptop

A comment on the question "Maximum Page Length" in Dale Lane:

It would be nice if there was a setting in the menu so that we could modify it ourselves (like the nested page limit--we can modify this from 0 to 9) to have file sizes ranging from say 32kb to 32mb. That way users could modify it based on the platform they are using.

That's not a bad idea... it's a bit fiddly to make sure that all the classes get modified and restarted in sync, but should be do-able.

Not sure when I'll get a chance to do it, but I've added it to my list.
