We actually don't mail anything out, but Google Checkout requires us to send a shipment notification anyways. Just bring your receipt for your purchase to the con. We have a line specifically for those who have pre-registered. That's all you need!

I'm looking for a way to actually get around having to send a shipment notification. I know this makes everyone slightly confused!

Yes, with a legal guardian, they may attend. However, none of the events currently planned have mature content requiring us to ask for ID.

The times for events are not official yet, but the convention itself will be open on Friday 12PM-12AM, Saturday 10AM-12AM and Sunday 10AM-6PM.

Portals: LARP Beginner Demo

Want to see what this LARPing thing is all about? Give Post-Apocalyptic Horror LARP Portals a try! No fee. If you want to try the boffer fighting, you will need to see a member of Portals staff before the module starts. Otherwise, everything you need to know will be given to you when you show up to play this game. Having some costuming to represent any of the cultures (Asian, Middle Eastern, Arabic, Germanic, French, Italian, Spanish or generic Middle Ages styled clothing) is a bonus, but coming in another costume is okay. The module might require some physical activity; it definitely will require some ingenuity - come try yours out!

The module will include about 30 minutes of safety training and prep/question-answer time followed by roughly 90 minutes of atmospheric LARP.

We don't have any age limits for Kajonk-A-Con. Any event, such as a screening for an upcoming anime, with mature content will have requirements for ID to be shown before entering that room. However, there is not much, if any, content of this variety.

If you're younger than 14 or so, we ask that your parents know where you are or come to the convention with you. We have security on site and helpful staff, but we are not babysitters and are not able to keep up with where every single attendee is.

Kajonk-A-Con doesn't have an age requirement (note - some screenings may contain mature content and we will require age verification for those). We recommend that you make sure a parent or guardian knows where you are and what you're doing.

Preregistration will end Nov. 15th. Last year we extended the deadline to later, but would you really want to chance it? :)

Tickets will be available at the door. 3-Day tickets at walk-in will be $25. UT students can purchase tickets for $10 via early registration or at the door.

Our apologies for not taking care of this is a swift, responsible manner. Our group pricing was vague and not fully developed as far as allowing multiple people to register at once. This is something we will strive to correct for 2009 to prevent from happening again.
