Can't post to twitter.

I have twitter and facebook set up within ping.fm
If I use twhirl, I can post to twitter (from twhirl) and facebook (using twhirl's ping.fm plugin).
If I post from ping.fm its self, my message only gets through to face book. None of my 3 twitter accounts get updated. I have tried entering the specific log in details of different twitter accounts, but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?
