Hi Soundcloud folks!
There's a related question that i just asked over here. I know you folks require some pretty crazy client-side scripting to get functionality out of your site and in some cases it's necessary. but why not think of your login box at least as a case for progressive enhancement and replace your cool custom popup with a more boring but functional one.

Will the login box improve - or better yet, support OpenID?Hi folks - soundcloud is a great idea and mostly well executed. Congratalations.
However, there is one thing that make the workflow too inconvenient for me: your log in box. It's some weird javascript widget that breaks for some people, and rarely works with my password managers. I use Agile Web Solutions's 1password, Safari's auto password feature, and firefox's password manager. The last one works sometimes - no idea why - but usually not, and the first two i mention never work.
It's a horrible login box! As a web developer myself, i have hundreds of passwords, and i need a password manager to handle them - and yours is the only service i know that doesn't work with all three password managers. Moreover, I can't just stay logged in to your site, since I regularly need to clean out cookies for the same reason. It would be great if you could just fix the login box problem at the source, by designing a better form.
As far as i can tell, the problem is that it's some kind of dynamically created form that you use, as opposed to a hidden form that you dynamically reveal. I suspect password managers like the form to be there when the page loads?
Anyway, the other way to get around this would be for you guys to support openID! Why not? - I know you are already playing around with OAuth.
Thanks!-
