Dan replied on November 21, 2009 23:14 to the idea "Update Menubar Icon to Indicate Nambu State" in Nambu:
All this activity would be distracting, but I would like a subtle menu bar icon indicator of user-customizable activity. This is one of the things Tweetie does well—you can have its menu bar icon change color only when you have new @replies or DMs. This gives peace of mind that you're not missing something important without having to be distracted by the app.
Any chance of adding this functionality? In the meantime I often run both Nambu (for general use) and Tweetie (for the menu bar alert).

Tony,
Could you allow scripts to be attached to spaces? That way users could at least cobble together some options. The big thing I'm looking for is user-customizable sets of items on the desktop. Even if you don't code that specifically, if you could trigger AppleScripts on space switch, users could hack our own solutions.
Thanks,

inkwell's reply to "TweetDeck is not opening links in my default browser (Google Chrome)" was just promoted to the most useful! Dan and 4 other people think it's one of the best replies.
The fix is actually pretty simple; I was dealing with the same thing on XP and this technique (modified a bit) fixed it right up:

Hope this helps.-
