Dan, unfortunately our blogger exporter had issues and we had to scrap the initial version. We've got a new exporter on the way but it won't be here for some time.

But I have good news! One of our awesome kick-ass IntenseDebaters wrote a comment exporter/importer for just such an occasion (moving comments from blogger to wordpress).

However, it only works on PHP 5, requires curl, and hasn't been tested on old versions of Wordpress. Again, this was not developed by IntenseDebate and we will not be able to offer support. It has been used by 2 users and both have had success with it.

Once I have exported my comments to XML, how do I put them into my blogger account?

The reason I want to do that is because I am moving to Wordpress and I currently see now way to simply move ID to my wordpress blog and I do not want to loose my comments.

Well, first, instead of "Claim your comments", maybe, "Register" or "Get a commenting account" or something of the like.

The login, if you can show its optional just to clarify (maybe write optional in brackets)

and then just make it clear that just the name and the comment is actually required (star and then required under?)

I know that all this has to play into the design.. right now, the design looks incredible. So, I'm not sure how well those things will look inside the redesign, but thats what i have in mind right now.

I think it should be made much clearer how to register to the comments... A lot of my users aren't sure what is required and also how to register to get an account and then log in each time. People don't really get that "claim my comments" means register and so it confuses them. It's even more confusing when they see the option to login because then a few have asked me if they need to login before posting. Making things clearer would be real good.

I'm so sorry for having wasted your time lol they were in my spam folder for some reason.

Maybe just a suggestion - write a note next to the blog settings page to make sure people check their spam folder.. might help you not get those questions when ID will take over commenting on all the blogs in the world ;-)

I'm not getting comments on any posts right now.
I just posted a comment "Test" when i logged off to test it out and didnt get an email

Dan, we've fixed this issue temporarily until we can get our new email system up and running. Have you not received email notifications recently? Were the emails for new comments? If they were could you please provide me with links to the specific posts and point out which comments you didn't receive notifications for?
