Hey Sofia,
We have a beta of our importer available so you can go back and grab those messages. Just shoot me an email at contact@dexrex.com and I can tell you more about it and what went wrong with the app.

Hey Raj,
I think the particular issue you were experiencing was a server error. Please try again and let me know how it goes by sending an email to contact@dexrex.com.

Hey Sherry,
This is something we are looking into, but at this time our application works exclusively with SMSs. Any updates regarding our software can be found on our blog at blog.dexrex.com. I am not aware of any other software that archives mobile SMSs, so hopefully we can expand support soon!
Cheers,

Hey Bryan,
We have received a couple other reports of this happening and the developers are on the job. I apologize for not responding sooner, I only just got the notice last night! When a new version is available I will be sure to post it here and let you know. Thank you for your phone information as well. That will go a long way in helping us fix the issue.

Hey Bryan,
What Dexrex app version are you running? We have one for the storm and one for all other Blackberrys at www.dexrex.com/mobile/blackberry. Also, are you given the option to send a problem/error report? If you are please send one over. These reports go a long way to help us fix issues.
Thanks Bryan, we'll get this working soon!

Mike,
In the last two weeks we released multiple versions of the BlackBerry app to ensure that we had solved the majority of the problems users were experiencing. The version currently available should include a fix for your step 3 problem -

Enjoy!

Hey Mike,
We have a new version of the BlackBerry app coming out today, so once that is available I will be sure to shoot you over a download think. This new app should fix the problem you are experiencing, but if it doesn't - The app now has better problem reporting so we can find out what is up and fix it!

Dan

Hey Charles,
Can you send in a debug log? With that we can get a better idea on what is going on. To send a log to to the Dexrex App > Click the blackberry button > advanced options > view debug log. Once we have the log I will let you know what the deal is and how we will be/are working to fix it.

Dan replied on December 18, 2008 17:19 to the question "Can't install Dexrex Blackberry extensions" in dexrex:
Hey Bill,
Thank you for the info! We are currently working on a new version of the app that will resolve the issue you are experiencing. We believe it has to do with the app asking your phone for permissions it does not have. The new version of the app will address this. We are planning on releasing a new version shortly after New Years.
One other possible solution in the meantime is to go to the Dexrex app on your phone, click the Blackberry button, select 'advanced options' and then select 'set permissions'. Set all permissions to 'allow'. You can also get to the permissions section when the app tries to go from step 3 to 4. There will be an option to view permissions while the app attempts to set them.
Hopefully that will work, if not - it won't be long until version 2.11 is available.
Cheers,
Dan
Dan replied on December 16, 2008 21:12 to the question "Can't install Dexrex Blackberry extensions" in dexrex:
Hey Bill,
Are you given an option during the setup process to send a report or a debug log? It would be a big help to see the log but if you are not given the option we can work around it. Also, it would be helpful if you could let me know what BlackBerry model you own and what OS version it is running. To find out what OS version you have, go to option -> about and it will be the 4.x.x number.
One last thing you can try is to leave the CCC field blank and attempt to move on to the next step. This CCC conflict is an extremely small use case but the next version of the BlackBerry app will address it. (It may be a more immediate fix for you.)
Thanks Bill! We'll get this all squared away soon.
Cheers,
Dan
Dan replied on November 19, 2008 16:11 to the question "SMS not archiving" in dexrex:
Hey Jw,
The SMS messages that were not uploaded to your account, were they sent/received before or after you installed the application? The app currently does not upload older SMS logs, so you would only see logs from when the app was installed and on.
Also, can you send over a debug log? To send one: Go to the application on your phone, click the Blackberry button, and go to advanced options. Debug logs help us big time with diagnosing issues.
Don't worry Jw, we'll get this all figured out.

Dan replied on September 29, 2008 14:47 to the question "How do I add my Blackberry IM account?" in dexrex:
Hey daniesq,
During the setup process on your phone you should have been prompted to set a password and an email address. The password and your phone number allow you to log into the site, the email address is used for the forgot password feature. Also, when you try to log into dexrex, be sure to set your login type as 'blackberry'.
To clarify, the application archives SMS communications and we have not expanded into the mobile IM market yet. I thought I'd mention that because, you said you wanted to add your 'Blackberry IM account'.
Hope that helps!
