Dan C asked a question in Balsamiq on February 04, 2009 08:50:
Suggested mime type for .bmml files and IISAny suggestion on what mime type I should specify for .bmml files so that I can allow downloading them from IIS? I tried application/octet-stream, but it still opens in the browser as a text document instead of prompting for download location.
Dan C replied on December 06, 2008 00:17 to the problem "How do I get back the original text color?" in Balsamiq:
Giacomo, that is certainly an option. However, looking at the palette, it does look a bit out of place to me. Perhaps you could swap it with the position of the black. Even so, it looks a bit odd and somebody might just miss that color. I would suggest adding another row in the palette with that color instead, if possible.
Even though I like the dark green (since it's a bit softer on the eyes), it might be cleaner in the long run to bite the bullet and change the default to black across the board. It does mean that if I open any mockups to add text I will have to select all my text objects and change their color to black to match, but then again, I don't have that many so for me it's not a big deal.

How do I get back the original text color? How do I change the text color of elements back to the original dark green color? It does not apper to be in the list of colors offered in the palette.

Open multiple mockups at onceIt would be nice to be able to open multiple mockups in a folder at once by allowing selection of multiple files (e.g. like Word, Photoshop and other apps do). Currently, if I want to work with a number of mockups at once I have to open each individually, which is a bit inefficient, especially if they are all related or part of a series.
Dan C marked one of Giacomo 'Peldi' Guilizzoni's replies in Balsamiq as useful. Giacomo 'Peldi' Guilizzoni replied to the question "Tree pane background color no longer supported?".

Tree pane background color no longer supported?I have a mockup that I created a few weeks ago. It contains a Tree pane with a background color. I just tried to create a new Tree pane with the latest version and I can't see a way to set the background color. Did this get removed?
Dan C reported a problem in Balsamiq on September 25, 2008 01:23:
Undo text edit does not work on textWhen double-clicking to edit text (for example in a Tree Pane), the Undo/Redo buttons don't undo any editing, instead they undo any changes to the shape layout.
It would be better if it actually worked on what was being edited.-

Default Save As folder for a cloned mockup should be same as original mockupI often find myself creating several screens that are substantially similar to an existing one. I use the clone mockup feature.
But when I try to save the clone, I have to navigate my way back to the original project folder.
It would be great if the Save As dialog box automatically defaulted to the location of the mockup you created the clone from (or at least the last saved as location).
A comment on the idea "Destination folder and filename when saving PNGs" in Balsamiq:
That sounds good. It would be most helpful in keeping the mockup folder clean, especially if combined with Michael's suggestion. Thank you! – Dan C, on September 10, 2008 14:55

Destination folder and filename when saving PNGsThe current defaults when saving a PNG are nice, but would it be possible to give the user more control over the destination folder and filename? Perhaps you could show a Save As dialog box. For example, it would be nice to be able to overwrite the previous PNGs instead of creating a new version.-
