A comment on the question "Why is Flock crashing all of a sudden?" in Flock:
There is no such file named "flock-data.sqlite" anywhere within the whole installed folder of the program. Would it be in the usually hidden folder, "Application Data"? – Dan, on August 10, 2009 04:30

When you asked under what circumstances, ALL is the most correct answer. There is no time yet where it wont crash. It crashes consistently as soon as the welcome and "thankyou for downloading and installing 2.5.1" page has fully loaded - no sooner than that. I send a crash report (crash reported runs after each crash). AppName: flock.exe AppVer: 1.9.0.3493 ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.5781 Offset: 00012afb
That is about all I have so far.
A comment on the problem ""Error occurred while launching Yuuguu"" in Yuuguu:
Proof that the older JRE is at least one culprit, and located below about 2 messages. (the javaw.exe error of no entry point found for the Win2000 case is the proof that using old JRE versions can cause all kinds of issues, not to mention the obvious security issue of using OLD VERSIONS OF JRE) Now, I too would like to see this resolved, but that fact remains - I never said there was a connection between and older JRE and the issue of crashing, I was just adding that as you do NOT need to ship ANY version of JRE with your product (no program should be doing that) instead you need to check the user's computer FOR any JRE installed, IF NONE THEN inform the user they need it installed, offer to take the user to SUN to download the newest, INSTALL IT, then re-run the installer for Yuuguu - onerous? No, not when you coinsdir that anyone wanting to run YuuGuu should be smart enough to know they need JRE for YuuGuu and a great many other programs. – Dan, on August 06, 2009 23:51

"Lucene is used to index search results so the search flyout can show recently visited sites. Deleting the lucene folder only deletes this index and won't affect anything else." And also does not affect a solution to the crashing in Windows XP SP4 - this has been going on for a long, long time. – Dan, on August 05, 2009 22:34

Come on guys, its the old version of JRE you insist on using. GO TO v14 that is the most current. If you INSIST on installing JRE yourself, at least stay on top of what the rest of the world is doing with sun. FOR NOW everyone, your previous installs are NOT deleted, they are stored in "Build.xxxxx" folder(s) within the main Yuuguu folder. Just click on YuuguuClient file in the most recent of those older build folders and everything will be fine - old - but fine. Then just come back here every 6 months or so for an eventual fix. Or newest version, then just use the one just before that. Like for this one! I think it is supposed to be 2.0.0?-

Dan Ho asked a question in AirSet on May 23, 2009 01:14:
GET commands fail in url parsing, but seem to be corrected via airset server scripts?Using Airset in FF 3.0.10, I get: XHReq.open threw exception: method=GET, groupURL=/fc/app%20content/Shell/AirSet%20Ads/ad1.html?l=en_us&d=1243xxxxxx1223&re=2 when go9ing to : http://www.airset.com/AirSet.jsp#app.Admin+gi.sxxxxxxxxQG_ (x's replace numbers for security)
Dan Ho reported a problem in AirSet on May 23, 2009 01:02:
Speed Dial numbers are not syncing from phone (and cannot create a Speed Dial field in airset)Duplicates of contacts are appearing in airset online (bad), not on phone (good), after sync. Also, speed dial numbers from phone are NOT being sent to airset (tried creating field "Speed Dial" in airset, and that doesn't work either). Phone is VX-LG10000 (remember, the LG2 (LG-11000) will be released in August 2009!)
Dan Ho replied on February 11, 2009 04:38 to the question "Any way to know who Unfollowed me?" in Twitter:
What might work is an OPT-IN (only) that twitterers could check, that when you unfollow someone, you get a chance (again, only if you Opt-IN) to perhaps explain or simple radio buttons could be used, where you just check:
1. Thought you were somebody else
2. Not enough content for me
3. Too much information from you
4. You are a dirty bird
5. Totally followed you by accident, sorry
after choosing, the un-followed twitterer could then recieve an ANONYMOUS message, like "a fellow twitterer unfollowed you" for either :
A; "no reason given" (the un-follower didnt OPT IN),
OR
B; reason 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 (the un-follower would have opted IN)
The ANONYMOUS tips could help Twitterers improve their Twittering status among their fellow twits in the micro-social world of Twiteryness.-

A comment on the question "How do I uninstall Loki?" in Loki:
AGain, you do not have to have Loki installed to haveSkyHook service running, so wehn we look for the Add On called "Loki" and don't find it, does not mean that there arent other programs that use a product of Loki, like SkyHook. – Dan Ho, on June 26, 2008 00:19-

A comment on the problem "Skyhook Wireless is running as a service - do I need it?" in Loki:
Google DOES use your service - why you say it doesn't baffles me as it is all over the tech blogs. Are all the respected tech blogs lik TechCrunch wrong? Maybe. Anyway, I an using a program from 3-guppies that have been bought out by some other company that uses Loki or at least SkyHook for what they do, and I beleive THAT is how I have ended up with the service running, although I never installed the SkyHooh service KNOWINGLY - if you get point here. The company I am referring to is "Mobilize This!" and they DO use the SkyHook. I will disable the service for now and test FF with Mobilize This links and with Google Earth to see what errors I might recieve from either program.
BTW, the CUSTOMER has NOT certified this issue as Solved. – Dan Ho, on June 26, 2008 00:16
