Dan Hollings replied on August 17, 2009 16:42 to the question "My account with twitter has been suspended" in Twittin' Secrets Twitter Tips:
Libby... You can submit a ticket to customer support at Twitter. It's impossible to say if they will re-activate your account, but it is worth a try.
The lesson learned here is "robotic following" is at best a worthless effort and and at worse is very costly. I'd suggest in the meanwhile, you start a fresh account, build followers organically, and going forward... BACK UP your Twitter account using one of the backup tools found on MyTwitterToolbar.com (under tools).
Good luck!

Sorry to hear that. You've provided no details so it is impossible to give you any answer, however, I can say that many people get suspended for higher levels of robotic following (and unfollowing) or using their accounts in ways that violate Twitter TOS rules. Read the TOS and perhaps you'll find the challenge.
Dan Hollings replied on May 30, 2009 18:03 to the question "How do you toggle between 2 Twitter Accts?" in Twittin' Secrets Twitter Tips:
If you are desiring to work directly within TWO Twitter accounts on Twitter's primary site, you can always open one account in one browser (like Firefox) and open the other account in another browser (like IE, Safari, or Chrome). This is not an optimal solution, but many just like the simplicity of Twitter's interface and thus, TWO accounts can be managed this way.
The next option, and better option, is to use a client or app that is designed to support multiple Twitter accounts. This can be a mobile app such as Twittelator Pro or Twitterific for iPhone if you're on the run
-OR-
You can manage multiple accounts in one web application using PeopleBrowsr.com, Tweetlater (they have a cool Tweet Cockpit), or a dedicated app like Splitweet.
By no means have I listed all the choices out there for managing multiple Twitter account management, but with the options outlined above, you are pointed in the right direction and should be tweeting across multiple accounts with ease in no time.
My Twitter Twenius Twitter "how to" program gets in to the details of how to maximize and streamline all this.
Hope this helps.

ok... in your example... this will work:
Copy paste this
(remove any line breaks & redo that final short URL)...
http://twitter.com/home?status=
Retweeting%20@drakemedia%20Great%20way%20to%20
book%20meetings%20from%20twitter%20http://twittercal.com/
%20Pass%20along%20Click%20and%20post%20http://twurl.nl/2i1pwk
and then shorten it.

Steps to make a homemade Twitter self-populating Twitter link (viral in nature):
STEP 1 (start with this)
http://twitter.com/home?status=
STEP 2 (add your text)
http://twitter.com/home?status=@shortyawards
I vote for @dhollings in the Shorty Awards Finals
for #socialmedia because... of 100 Twitter
Tips http://twittinsecrets.com
STEP 3 (optional, but recommended)
REPLACE all "spaces" with %20
%20 = a space in a web address
AND if you use @ or # replace:
%40 = @ ("at" sign)
%23 - # (hashtag)
STEP 4 (you get a long URL like below)
http://twitter.com/home?
status=%40shortyawards%20I%20vote%20
for%20%40dhollings%20in%20the%20Shorty
%20Awards%20Finals%20for%20%23socialmedia
%20because...%20of%20100%20Twitter%20Tips
%20http://twittinsecrets.com
STEP 5 (test your long URL in a web browser)
STEP 6 (shorten your long URL)
Use something like tr.im or budurl.com or bit.ly
RESULTS (try it out - and Tweet a Vote for me in the Shorty Awards)

EXAMPLE
*http://mytwittertoolbar.com
or
*http://budurl.com/mytwittertoolbar
When you post this way in ping.fm the url is NOT converted to some other short URL
In stead, your post (tweet) will look like this:
(The asterisk is removed by ping.fm)
http://mytwittertoolbar.com
or
http://budurl.com/mytwittertoolbar

Twitter Tip #19 lists several of the URL shortening solutions and "MyTwitter Toolbar" http://mytwittertoolbar lists quite a few more, including Budurl. I can't say that any ONE "Twittin Secret" specifically discusses URL strategies, but that is a vibrant topic.
I use URL redirects and shorteners most the time when Twittering. Primarily for three reasons: 1) to save characters (obviously) 2) Tracking and 3) Keyword advantage (added to URL for the SEO value and as follow EYE CANDY.)
Because I often use TwitterSplit (http://twittersplit.com) the URL shortener is very important with the resulting doubly-long URLs required with TwitterSplit.
I've set-up many URLs at BudURL, but there are many equally compelling solutions beyond the BUD. I used Tweetburner for a while until they had a week long outage (at least it seemed that long) and lost some of my data. Sure enough, BUDurl later lost some of my data too in a shorter outage - plus, Budurl changed to a pay-me-money program AFTER I was all set-up (oh well).
My recommendation is to explore several, pick one you like, and hope for the best. There are even some built as FireFox extensions (included in MyTwitter Toolbar) that are interesting.
As far as Budurl tips... here's THE most important one (it's actually a Ping.fm tip too):
Put an asterisk * before your URL when posting through Ping.fm and your "hand-picked" url will not get auto-converted to another shortened URL.
And, when you think of URLs... don't think they only link to web pages. A URL can link to email, to an auto-post, to an image, video, PDF etc. It can also link to another Twitter static page.
Dan Hollings asked a question in Tweet Manager on December 25, 2008 05:01:
Mass direct feature not posting?I'm getting no indication that your mass direct message functionality actually works. Can you confirm... is it working and if so, why is it not working on my account?
Dan Hollings replied on September 15, 2008 07:25 to the question "Tip 92 not clear please explain" in Twittin' Secrets Twitter Tips:
No problem, let me clarify...
You're likely reading too much in to this strategy and thinking it's harder than it really is.
All twitter strategy #92 is suggesting is that you stay alert to (and seek out) interesting stuff (news, tips, info, pictures, sites, tools, humor etc) that you feel would be of particular interest to the type followers you desire.
These type things are like "Twinkies" and you can feed them (share them) via Twitter posts out to your followers and potential followers. Your followers in turn may find your Twinkies interesting and share them further; increasing your exposure to more followers.
If you subscribe to things like Google news (using news searches of interest to you), topical RSS feeds you find, TweetBeep, Digg, StumbleUpon, etc; you'll have great stuff to pass along almost every day. You can also set-up TweetDeck to comb the Twittosphere every hour or so for interesting stuff based on keywords and phrases.
Once you find something, share it. If you want to notch-up your strategy a bit, consider sharing it with TwitterSplit (if possible).

Dewald... Twat in the Tworld to folks Twinking when they do that?
I agree. I actually studied this issue a bit as I was putting together my "Twittin' Secrets" (100 free non-wimpy Twitter tips and secrets).
Not only did I recommend Tweetlater in my 100 Twitter tips, but separately I covered the topic of your post above in Twitter tip #33 located here:
http://www.squidoo.com/twittinsecrets
BTW, Tweetlater is recommended in Tip #30.
The rest of these Twitter tips are scattered across the web at Google Base, Google Knol, Squidoo, PRweb, HubPages, Xanga etc... but all 100 are 100% free.
Enjoy!
