I'm sorry, we won't be adding any further features to 1.0 wikis. However, many folks have found that there are lots of 3rd party tools for commenting in the 1.0 wikis.
The best I've seen so far is this one.

It's a bit slow to load but it has tons of features.
Here's another one I use extensively in my popular freewarewiki.

Good luck!

Liking 2.0 styleCan I have 2.0 style comment section (blog style not tab style) for my 1.0 wiki? My organization likes 1.0 for its wiki, but 2.0 comment style.

Right now, 2.0 is limited in customizability, but when custom head HTML is back (turned off for security concerns), it'll be just as customizeable as 1.0, at least in terms of appearance (you'll be able to specify CSS stylesheets again). 2.0's editor is much more stable and we're actively working to make its formatting options more intuitive. I like it a lot, although I am still keeping a few wikis at 1.0 until the feature set gets completely filled out.
In terms of handling your data itself, both do basically the same thing. If your needs don't require precise formatting of layout and design, then you should have no problem using either.
Best,
Vu

Actually, Daniel, you are correct about the customizability. 1.0 has skins; 2.0 has none. 1.0 easily supports javascript and css; 2.0 makes it much more difficult. 1.0 educational wikis have a sidebar with up to three tabs; 2.0 has eliminated the tabbed sidebar completely. Of course, as Rachel mentioned, 1.0 allows anonymous access via the magic URL, or uninvited access using a password.
Be aware that they have completely rewritten the underlying page structure in 2.0, so anything you do to customize a 1.0 wiki will be entirely wasted in 2.0.
