A comment on the question "60611 explanation? How do I use it?" in GOGII:
Does that mean they have to text twice? One with only user same and second with the message to start the conversation? – Daniel Hong, on November 16, 2009 17:06-

A comment on the problem "Speed, Notification Clearing, Special Characters & Retaining my TextPlus #" in GOGII:
Hm. Some of these are of some inconvenience and I'm glad to hear you are working on some of them.
When you get a push notification and you click "View" it takes you directly to the conversation and you close the app after interacting with that screen. The need to go back to the list AND waiting it to fully load is bit of an inconvenience. Does textplus keep local cache of some of the conversations? If it could work with that then sync up with the server later, it may fair better. This may also allow "faster load time" or at least give an impression that the actual loading of the app was fast. Quickly get past the splash screen, show the local conversation list then perform a sync. – Daniel Hong, on November 03, 2009 15:20
Daniel Hong marked one of Joe's replies in GOGII as useful. Joe replied to the question "ATT Not Honoring Text+ when not on Wi Fi".
Daniel Hong replied on November 03, 2009 15:08 to the question "ATT Doesn't support text +" in GOGII:
Some of your friends might be replying to your direct number and if you have push notification turned off, you might not be noticing these texts coming in. Try to keep count of these direct txt message and see if it matches the count on your bill. Another way to keep track of this by using an app called Cell Tracker. It gives you information regarding amount of minutes, data and text message you've used. This should match the one on your bill.
If the text message count is 0 and you get billed, there's definitely something fishy going on with ATT.

A comment on the idea "Add emoji support" in GOGII:
Yes, I do agree that you have the right to oppose this feature being included but you should have mentioned more constructive and helpful reasoning to support your case to start with.
Saying things like:
- "Emoticons are for 1st graders and morons."
- Actually, emoticons convey THREE words with every use: "I'm an idiot."
really hurts your reputation and credibility. The only irony here is that you've acted as immature and moronic" as you make the emoticons out to be. Pahahaha.
Anyways, I'll leave it for you two to duke it out. Because I am neither for or against this feature. If it can be implemented properly, great~! If not, oh well~ – Daniel Hong, on September 04, 2009 17:13
A comment on the idea "Add emoji support" in GOGII:
Um. I think that was uncalled for, non-constructive and very immature. You reply is that of a 1st grader.
Any feature request is a valid one for consideration. It is up to the developer to decide whether to implement it or not based on severity and popularity of the request.
Also, any feature, when abused, becomes very annoying. Should we get rid of ability to comment on blogs, YouTube, etc. because of all these immature users who replies with comments like "first!", "second!", etc. which r unbelievably annoying? – Daniel Hong, on September 03, 2009 12:58
A comment on the question "New Update Questions" in GOGII:
Like u said in the other post(which I happen to be following) u would have found answer to that issue regarding unread message count I'd it was stickied somewhere in one place. It was mentioned previously that that is a problem on their server side. – Daniel Hong, on September 03, 2009 10:43
A comment on the question "New Update Questions" in GOGII:
Your brother txt u from his cellphone(no text+) and u receive the txt in your text+ app. His name doesn't show up in your text+ app?
Is your brother replying to a txt u already sent from text+? – Daniel Hong, on September 02, 2009 23:16

A comment on the problem "old conversations marked as unread/badge count is HUGE" in GOGII:
yes. and if you read the comment above, they've found the problem and they're working on it. – Daniel Hong, on August 31, 2009 20:10
A comment on the problem "old conversations marked as unread/badge count is HUGE" in GOGII:
Same here. I let the message completely load and still give it couple of more seconds. Go back to the conversation list. I see the unread count disappear. Every conversation is cleared of unread count. Close the app. Sometime later, I open the app again the unread count appears. I haven't narrowed this down yet.
Perhaps, it's conversation left over from prev version? And/Or, Over certain msg count? – Daniel Hong, on August 27, 2009 22:06-

A comment on the question "Textplus to textplus" in GOGII:
Wait that comment is bit confusing for me. Are you saying that if you send txt from textplus to a 10 digit number of another textplus user the recipient will get normal SMS instead of textplus message? This assuming both party have textplus, both verified their number with textplus and there was no conversation created yet. The conversation only starts within textplus if the recipient replies to the SMS with shirt code?
Is my comment below correct? – Daniel Hong, on July 22, 2009 19:50
Daniel Hong replied on July 22, 2009 01:01 to the question "Textplus to textplus" in GOGII:
Lauren,
When you send message via TextPlus, it is sent to TextPlus server first then to the target mobile. If the both party verified the number with TextPlus, the 10 digit number would become associated with your TextPlus account. So, instead of sending SMS to the target mobile, the message would be stored into the TextPlus account that is associated with the 10 digit number you've chosen from your contact and show up directly in the TextPlus app next time the other person opens the app.
(TextPlus developer can correctly if I'm wrong. I'm making some assumptions here since I'm pretty new to TextPlus and I'm not a one of the developer, but a reasonable and educated assumption as a software programmer and by reading previous comments.)
Daniel Hong replied on July 21, 2009 17:51 to the idea "Txt+ to txt+" in GOGII:
From what I understand, if the other Txt+ user has verified their phone#, the message will be sent(sort of~) to the Txt+ account instead of SMS being sent. If the other Txt+ user is not getting the initial msg in their Txt+ app, they may not have verified their phone# in the app.
If this is not the case(which I don't see a reason not to), it really should be done that way.
