Hi Junya,
Yeah, it took awhile for my email to come through too, don't worry. As far as I know, it's not necessary for completeness to be at 100% in order to use Popego (mine is still at 57%) and I found it took at least a day before my interests started coming through and some of the other sections completed.
If anyone knows any different, please let us know, otherwise I can only suggest trying to ignore the itching need to see everything completed (oh that's just me?=S)
Anyway, Popego is evolving as we speak, enjoy=)

"When you click "once" on the "Like" button, it tells popego "I want more stuff like these" and the button changes its text to a "Fave it".. so if you click again, it will go to your favorites.. With 2 clicks, you fave anything."
Ahh 2 clicks sounds brilliant! I didn't think of that, that would be a really neat and tidy solution=)
"Awesome feedback man. I will keep this post bookmarked to discuss it with the team here. Consider Popego 100% at your service! :)"
Glad my feedback was useful, good luck with your tests, I look forward to the results. Thanks again, you're too kind, consider me at Popego's service anytime=)

Thanks Santiago, that makes things much clearer!
At the moment, the thing I like best about Popego is the nice chunky, simple user interface, so I would be hesitant to suggest features that may lead to clutter.
Like/Favorites
However, perhaps it would be useful to have a seperate 'Add to Favorites' button. The reason I say this is, I assumed 'Like' was to flag items that I like to help Popego learn my interests. If this is what happens, as well as Popego adding the item to my Favorites, then very soon the list of favorites wouldn't really be favorites any more, if you get my meaning? Some of those I may rate really highly, but some may just be in my area of interest and I want to let Popego know that.
From the old videos it looks as if there used to be a Favorites button (a heart icon) so I assume you changed this after feedback. I suppose a favourable result of having "Like/Add to Favorites" in the same button is it forces me to really focus on the content I feel is worthy. But again, if I come across an article in my area of interest but perhaps not specifically noteworthy, having just a "like/favorites" choice would make it hard to tell Popego to bring up more things like this but not to keep this one specifically.
Close/Hide "X"
With regards to the close button, your absolutely right, it is important that users don't accidentally lose the articles they like. However, i'm not sure I see the benefit of hiding items, especially if they return after a refresh. Assuming the Favorites function works correctly and items are moved to your Favorites when you click "Like", and i'm assuming others are dismissed when you click "Hate", then hiding an item is only beneficial if you want to come back to it later, but the refresh overrules this option anyway. Perhaps it would be useful to have items remain hidden between sessions, so the user can come back to them later. Maybe a small visibility icon in the black filter bar could allow you to toggle these items hidden/unhidden.
Another option could be having older items (with a user specified "age limit") drop off into a temporary holding area. Maybe they would remain in this area for a month or again a user-defined time period, before they disappear completely. I can understand the importance of minimising the risk of missing important items however, so perhaps the visibility approach is better, since those items could keep coming round again.
These are just a few of my current thoughts, I hope they are of some use. I look forward to the new developments on Popego. Keep up the good work!
Daniel Mclaughlan asked a question in Popego on March 02, 2009 00:12:
A bit confuzzled at how Popego works..Can someone briefly explain how the interest feed works? I was a bit confused at first since the interface is different from that in the videos (I'm assuming "News Feed" has been renamed to "Popego's Picks" and I understand the floating filter has been replaced with the black bar near the top). Now that content seems to be coming through, I have a couple of queries:
1) Do items drop off the Interest Feed after a set time or do I have to click "Like it/Hate it" for each one? Also, does the close and hide 'x' only hide items temporarily? I assumed it was to dismiss items but they still come back when I refresh the page.
2) If I am browsing the web outside Popego, is there any way to add items to Popego, or (as I suspect) does all the content only come from my existing services like Blogs, YouTube etc? Also, how do I keep an item that I like/add to my favourites?
If anyone could clarify the way Popego should be used, I would be most grateful. In future it may be helpful to provide more tutorials - I would be happy to make some once I know what i'm doing=)
