"We may add the option to customize the color/theme in the future. At the moment it's lower on our priority list, I'm afraid."
So we can now toggle two temporary New Moon themes with just a Tweet, but Brizzly still can't add a single dark theme? How is a trend theme a priority at all?
That's really a slap in the face to the users who have been asking for a different theme. Especially to those of us who aren't interested in the Twilight series.

And just to update, the new Firefox add-on works perfectly. – Daniel P, on November 19, 2009 10:25

You're welcome.
If you are planning on making the Hootlet/HootSuite post to multiple social networks without the use of Ping.fm there is one thing that would need to be changed.
Currently when you upload an image via the Hootlet, it posts that image to your Ow.ly account and then forwards the URL to your social networks. For Plurk, Twitter and similar networks that is fine. But for Facebook that won't work.
Ping.fm posts the actual image to an album (Ping.fm album) where the normal Facebook tools can be used, namely tagging. You can't tag the currently posted link the same way you do photos and you kill Facebook's people-photo-link method by omitting the image. Plus, users of mobile Facebook clients would suffer even more without the standard web browser to properly view linked content.
So for Facebook and other sites that host their own images you would need to make sure the images are sent directly to an album. You could even use the same format and go with an Ow.ly album to promote use of this service.-

There is no way to be more clear than how I explained, but I'll try...
Look at the image. There are two posts to my Twitter account.
1. Is from HootSuite (bottom)
2. Is from Ping.fm (top)
The message was sent only one time from the "HootSuite Hootlett" bookmaklett. (Not the Firefox add-on)
All accounts that get posted by Ping.fm received only an ow.ly URL.
Twitter, posted to directly by HootSuite, received both the ow.ly URL and the original message. This made Twitter have double posts, 1 Ping.fm and 1 HootSuite.
I quit using HootSuite to post and just emailed and messaged Ping.fm until the new add-on came out.
The official Firefox add-on appears to be working properly.
The drag and drop bookmarklett from the bottom page of HootSuite was causing the problem.
Hope it was an isolated issue, but it did last more than 24 hours before I quit trying to use it all together.

Daniel P reported a problem in HootSuite on November 14, 2009 19:02:
Hootlet double posting problems and only posting URL to Ping.fmBefore, I could use the Hootlet button to post through HootSuite (and to my Ping.fm account) with no double posts to Twitter. Last night it started posting to Twitter from HootSuite AND from Ping.fm.
It also is only sending the ow.ly link through Ping.fm and not the edited text in the message. (see image) Facebook for example, is only getting the ow.ly url now, not the original HootSuite message with url.
Any ideas?

Email images and files to ow.ly (or HootSuite) instead of only using a web browser to upload.Email images and files to ow.ly (or HootSuite) instead of only using a web browser to upload.
Since ow.ly already incorporates Ping.fm to post to all of my social networks, I'd like to consolidate my images. And with the added functionality of Ow.ly, especially it's ability to handle multiple media formats, emailing from a mobile to Ow.ly would be great. Sound bytes, video clips, documents and images could be sent to one location the same way you would if you were using a web browser.
Currently, when I only have my mobile, I bypass HootSuite and Ow.ly all together and email Ping.fm directly.-
