Daniel Crawford started following the question "how come my cover art won't sync with my ipod?" in Songbird.
Daniel Crawford marked one of Koshi's replies in Songbird as useful. Koshi replied to the question "Who makes Songbird?". Daniel Crawford and 3 other people think it's one of the best replies.

The Big Idea: Making Songbird a better successWhy don't all you guy's here work fully with Mozilla.org and make songbird a brother to Firefox and Thunderbird by making it available as a Mozilla product on the Mozilla website (Mozilla.org).
The results would be:
1. More other talented experts to design & develop songbird to be a more improved piece of software.
2. More success. (As it would be along side all of the Firefox hype and fame)
3. More people would trust it as safe software with it named "Mozilla Songbird" (Which = More downloads and success).
4. Better Add-on & Update facilities and possibilities. (As Mozilla.org have all these facilities fully stable and ready to use)
5. You would save money cause you wouldn't have to host your own website for Songbird.
Just remember we all want any open source software to be successful so it can take over the stupidly overpriced commercial software, so this would be a big step for Songbird if you all carried out the above. I personally think that would be the best way of making songbird a super success!
Thanks.
daniel.crawford replied on October 04, 2008 23:13 to the question "is there a portable version of songbird?" in Songbird:
You could make portable version by following these steps:
1. Install the latest Songbird on your computer
2. go to "program files" and copy the folder "Songbird" to your desktop
3. UN-install songbird
4. now you can use song bird without it being installed, by opening the folder you copied to the desktop and opening the songbird.exe. (don't delete or move anything within the folder, always move the whole folder with everything still in it).
I've done it so it definitely works.
