What is the value of the activity chart? The fitness report is dominated by an activity chart, which seems to indicate how much time I spent entering data into Gyminee. This seems to be of very limited value fow my fitness goals and always skewed toward food entry as I have th enter a lot more items. Unless I am burning calories or burning muscle while typing. :) Am I missing some secret value? Ideal would be selecting a graph of ones choice, but barring that there must be some more interesting fitness oriented information to display. It seems to be of such limited use that removing it to reduce scrolling to see the rest of the information might even be a better choice.

"Another site" handles this by allowing you to select meal (drop down) and servings for each food entry when you edit it. – Daniel.hughes@usa.net, on May 29, 2008 16:12

Where do I find Net Calories? Before the "enhancements", as a Pro user I was able to view a daily fitness report that showed for a given day the calories eaten, the calories burned via exercise, and the estimated calories burned due to BMI, alogn with a grand total. This was very useful, but I can't seem to find it anymore.

How do I determine a food brand from the meal planner? As you know from my other questions, I am running into food management issues since you removed the capability to search by brand. What makes it even worse, however, is that when you are browsing or searching food in the meal planner _which is a PRO feature_ I can't seem to even view the Brand on foods. It doesn't show up on the food listing and the product label poipup also doesn't include it.

It would be most excellent for Pro users to reintroduce the calendar link to the fitness report with the right day range set. In addition, links on the fitness report with ranges (day, week, month) and previous/next buttons would be a great enhancement. – Daniel.hughes@usa.net, on May 29, 2008 15:54
A comment on the question "Why can't I search by Brand." in Gyminee:
I understand the goal, but I am not sure this is going to meet it. People seem to add the brand to the name which defeats this approach and promotes inaccurate use of food entry. Since the functionality was there before, I got very used to it. Slickest would be an Amazon like search for food (book), food name (title), and brand (author) that grouped results accordingly. A lower tech alternative would be to just make it an option when searching. In an event, I look forward to the "near future"! – Daniel.hughes@usa.net, on May 21, 2008 01:28
Daniel.hughes@usa.net marked one of Stephen's replies in Gyminee as useful. Stephen replied to the question "How do I enter a strength activity based on time?".
Daniel.hughes@usa.net asked a question in Gyminee on May 21, 2008 01:24:
How do I view the daily fitness report?Prior to the upgrade a click on "daily fitness report" on the calendar would display the daily fitness report. It was useful for knowing where I stood based on my nutrition and exercise for the day.
I like the new week report, but is there any way to get the daily without viewing the weekly then changing the time period?

How do I enter a strength activity based on time? For example, I want to measure how long I hold the plank position to work my Abs.

It would be handy if Pro users could assign a food to a meal (breakfast, lunch) when adding from the Nutrition tab without going to the meal planner. If I want food grouped my meal, I need to go to the meal planner, add the food, then go to the nutrition screen and click the checkbox. It is also very possible I am just using the site incorrectly.

Why can't I search by Brand.Prior to the upgrade, I would swear I could enter the brand in the search window and get back all the items of that brand. In any event, it would be a really good feature.
Not having it promotes bad behavior as some people work around it by entering the brand name both in the food name field and in the brand field and others don't creating multiple entries.
