Hi,
Unfortunately you cannot have the same phone number registered to two different Rebtel accounts. This is because we need to be able to recognise the account to which we'll charge the call, and we route the call based on the number from which the call is originating. It's simply not possible to register the number to two accounts.
We're really sorry for any inconvenience caused!
A comment on the question "England V Germany" in Rebtel:
Hi Mieves,
You can have up to 5 phone numbers registered to one account, so you can add both your numbers on the same account and get local numbers you can dial from either phone. – Danielle, on December 01, 2009 14:16

Hi Pallavi,
To be able to use your new number for your Rebtel calls, you have to add it to your account.
You can add the number by logging in to your account under the old number, clicking on Settings, then clicking on Manage Phones and following the instructions.
Just click on ‘Make preferred’ once you’ve verified the number, and that will preserve both your balance and your contact list.
Hope this helps!

Hey Sonia,
It sounds like you may have added too many contacts and we don't have access to enough local numbers. Could you email us at customerteam@rebtel.com? We'll help you out from there.

Hi William,
You can just change the number associated with your account by logging in, going to Manage Your Phones on the Settings page and adding the new number. Then, click "Make preferred" and you can delete the older number.
As long as you're travelling in the 51 Rebtel countries (http://www.rebtel.com/en/Rates/Rebtel...), you can pick up local SIM cards or place your calls from local phones and pay the cheap Rebtel international rate as well as the usual local calling fee, avoiding the very steep roaming fees most mobile companies charge for using your phone outside of the home area.

A comment on the update "Pakistan is now a Rebtel Country!" in Rebtel:
Hi Yasirhayat,
As long as your cousin hangs up within 10 seconds, the call will not be charged as 1 minute. Just make sure that he hangs up straight away and you can wait as long as you need to for him to call back, you will not be charged. Hope this makes sense! – Danielle, on November 24, 2009 08:32
