NO FOOD IN NEW MEDIA STUDIONow the the media Studio (E5) has recently been done up as well as having the addition of 9 iMacs (and a Very Expensive Mac Pro), i think that there should no longer be allowed Food or Drink in the Suite. Its very expensive equipment that wont be replaced immediately if at all!!

After looking at Vimeo a bit more, it looks like you wont get the full advantages such as HD embedding, unless you buy the Vimeo Plus subscription.
Features that are offered on YouTube for FREE.
SO i think YouTube could be the way - just when Uploading, DOnt make the videos Public but allow the Embedding of Videos so you can put them on the School site (Even in HD =P)

Sue Crawte's reply to "ICT is hard to work in!" was just promoted to the most useful! Dan Newman and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.
Some students seem to have problems with computers in D4, others do not. They are usually manageable during the lesson and only are usually slow whilst other rooms are logging on and off the network. In most of my lessons, an activity away from the computers is organised to counteract this. If your computer is running extra slow, you should talk to me, as Chris Wood did yesterday. His was indeed extremely slow. I sent him to Mr Bloyce, who is going to delete his work area. When we looked into his work area, he had lots of images and large documents in his My Documents folder. A lot of these, Chris said, were not needed anymore. It is a good idea to regularly do some "house keeping" i.e. tidy up your My Documents area, so that you are not storing unnecessary things on the server, which add to any network delays. Chris has also backed up his My Documents area on his Memory stick, so that he always has access to his school work, wherever he is!
Hopefully, things will be a little faster for him now!
