Just downloaded your desktop app (on Mac) and my GTALK account does not connect. I verified my username and password online -- and of course the information I was entering was accurate.
This is a HUGE disappointment. I like your product (in concept) but since I can NOT actually use it, I am pissed...

BETA15 killing my macI am having a lot of speed issues with Postbox after BETA15. The program becomes non-responsive quite a bit and I am now blowing away my index (using the reset) to see if that helps.
Anyone else having issues like this?

UPDATE: Editing also works in multi-week. A quick work-around is to select "multi-week" from the menu bar and than adjust the multi-week preference so that only (1) week is displayed.
Postbox > Preferences > Lightning > Views > Multiweek View = 1 week
Worked like a champ for me as I wait for the next release...

Try this again with "Show Alarms" turned off...
I noticed that I had a problem when I had more than 2000 appointments I was loading that caused my "Alarm Window" to say open. Here is what I suggest:
1. Delete any calendars you have
2. Create new calendar from your XML link (use the private one) with alarms turned off and give your calendar a NAME (so it's not blank) and color
3. Reload your calendar (restart Postbox)
WORKAROUND:
1. Right-click on an invite you get and select the Convert To > Event and add to calendar
2. Email person back sending the invite with your "ACCEPT" status
DanWaldo replied on August 03, 2009 14:38 to the question "bug in calendar when editing invite-event" in Mozilla:
I am having this problem as well. Double-clicking an appointment (from the Calendar View) should bring up the item in the edit window. Instead I am forced to create a new appointment.
I did get this working from the Email View.
1. Make sure you have "Show Today Pane" selected in the toolbar
2. Find your appointment you want to edit and double click
3. Edit window for appointment opens and you can edit away.
4. Return to calendar view and reloaded appointment shows updated info
I would like to see this fixed for real though...-

You need to use the Google Calendar provider. CalDav does not work. I spent a week frustrated by this and then got Lightning working properly using Google provider this morning.
1. Copy your Google XML link into the URL for your Google calendar
2. Specify your options and reload your calendar
3. You can now save your invites to any calendar of your choice-
