Hi Greg,
It is pretty weird problem. I even download a version from our site and run in new tomcat instance. Once I set Xmx, everything is working well....
Can I know your Java version? And can you run startup.bat in command line mode and add
set CATALINA_OPTS=-Xmx256m
at startup.bat first line?
And please also try JAVA_OPTS=-Xmx256m.
Please also confirm if your tomcat is fresh installed - does it use for other applications? It may have other parameters to confuse the envrionment.
You already have a "admin" user when you installed GeniusWiki. So you can login as this admin user or sign up a new user who has not system administration permission except assigned by "admin"
Cheers,
Dapeng

Hi Beduino,
The users means any registered users, who can be admin or page contributors - GeniusWiki has very flexible permission control panel as users can be switched into any roles. But it looks your organization is non-profit one. It is free for unlimited users, no worries! Your cost is only for hosting then.

Their "Expedition" plan looks alright. However, I recommend higher level if possible... Not quite sure what is your budget yet:)

Dapeng replied on May 06, 2009 13:28 to the question "host company" in Edgenius:
Hi Beduino,
We don't have hosted package except geniuswiki.com, however it is not suitable for team work. Luckily, Geniuswiki can easily run with a tight system resources. For small team, a server with 128M memory is already enough. There are lots VPS providers you can choose. For example,
http://www.slicehost.com/
http://www.jaguarpc.com/
Even their basic plan can support geniuswiki smoothly.
If you don't want to install Tomcat or other J2EE server by yourselves, also can try this Java hosting provider:
http://dailyrazor.com/ (At least, private tomcat hosting plan)
Cheers,
Dapeng

Hi Beduino,
I am not very clear with your question here. Do you mean the limitation of the registered user on geniuswiki.com? If so, the registered users don't have the system admin part which can totally control geniuswiki, such as backup/restore, space quota control, email etc. I suggest you download the installation file from http://download.edgenius.com/cgi-bin/... and give a try.
Cheers

Release note needs improvementrelease notes idea is good. It would be target for project end users, ie, public. But there is not export, perm link etc. I like Lucene project using one: http://lucene.apache.org/java/2_4_1/c...
I also suggest it has loose coupling with fixx itself. This means, fixx project may be closed from public. But release note needs expose to anyone.
Another suggest, "fixed version" is required input when bug is created. Does it make sense in most scenarios? I prefer to leave it when closing bug...
