imeem Player does not appear to be working in Google Chrome. As of a week or two ago, the imeem player does not seem to be working from within Google Chrome. When a song begins loading from imeem, the player interface appears as expected but the song never loads into it (the title of the song appears on the player, but the duration fields remain blank: --:--)
I know imeem has worked in Chrome before, and the exact same songs load almost instantly in Firefox 3.0.4. My machine is running Windows XP Pro.-

Save custom volume levels on a song by song basisI have noticed throughout my use of Songza that many of the songs and videos that Songza is sourcing have wildly varied volume levels. This requires that I adjust the volume each time a new song loads.
I think it would be very helpful if Songza could track what volume levels I set for each song and set the volume automatically to that level each time that song loads. I understand that would be difficult to maintain in cookies, so this may only be a valid feature for registered and logged in users, where that data could be saved along with our account data on the server.

Ian,
I was doing some problem solving of my own and noticed that Songza.com had a cookie with the name of "volume" set on my browser, and it's value was "300". I noticed that if I changed the volume of the Songza player (at the bottom of the screen) it would adjust the volume between 20 - 100 in intervals of 20 based on which of the five volume bars I clicked.
I also noticed that if I clicked in the black box around the volume bars, this set the volume to an excessive level (between 200 and 300, it appeared to be adding 200 to the volume level of the nearest bar where I clicked). This appears to be the bug.
Also of note: YouTube videos seem to be treating the 200 - 300 volume settings as 0 - 100, while imeem is actually using the 200 - 300 levels, which is causing the distortion.
Now that I know what to look for, I will keep an eye on everything to make sure the volume is not changing on it's own at all. I'll let you know if I discover anything else unusual regarding this situation.

Excellent site design!I just wanted to say that as a web developer, I really like the look and feel of your site. Your developers obviously focused on the little things when designing and implementing this site, and I wanted to make sure they knew it was appreciated.

Imeem player loading with excessive volume.Just today I've been running into a problem with the Imeem player. When a new song is loaded in the Imeem player, it sometimes begins playing with very excessive volume, distorting the audio and hurting my ears.
The volume slider on the Imeem player is in the same position as it was last at, and clicking it at all with the mouse immediately adjusts the volume to the correct level. In fact, even if I drag the volume slider to the top, I cannot reproduce that initial excessive volume level.
My Songza username is "darkelyte". I am running Songza via Google Chrome on Windows XP SP2.
darkelyte replied on October 27, 2008 14:07 to the question "What is the "Note" section." in Songza:
I noticed this occurring with songs that could not be played. Whenever Songza encountered a song it could not play (displayed the "Song could not be played" message), it moved it to the note section. Clicking on the song title in the note section started a new search for that song, so I believe that the Note section is here to help you find working versions of songs that no longer work.
