Add hyves.nlIt would be nice if the connect feature would also work with the site hyves.nl
Its tremendously popular in NL and im sure there quite a lot of people who would appreciate that.

Wuala connection gives incorrect status =(I have a server running 24/7 with wuala. Im in a home network so there is a NAT but im sure that all necessary port are forwarded correctly (i have tested that).
On my server, wuala continuously gives me a yellow status. I can access world, group and friends but when i order wuala to check the connection it states not connected (which is plain wrong)
Config is as follows:
Win server 2k8 (latest updates)
Wuala 219
No AV or Firewall

This is also outdated since wuala can now just be run from the browser. And any version of Wuala will require JavaRE so there really is no advantage anymore of having Wuala on a thumbdrive.
Furthermore Sunk I would like to point out here that flash driver don't die nearly as fast as you seem to think. There is a reason why Microsoft introduced readyboost. And that is most certainly not to kill all flashdrives.

It might just be me but I think the team should seriously consider to make Wuala able to detect that a folder for local files has been used by a previous installation and that there might still be some data/config to gather from it... because I just pointed Wuala to the folder and it simply erased all the config files (which I find rather annoying)

A comment on the idea "Web accessible files" in Wuala:
I can only guess that the Java version will come with a view-only and (possibly later) with a write access version. The reason for this is that this applet is also meant to enable users who do not have your PW to be able to view your content iff you give them a link (that is as far as I can gather) – Darkstriker, on July 18, 2008 13:50
Darkstriker replied on July 18, 2008 13:42 to the question "Client on the Mac - Storage on a PC" in Wuala:
There really is no problem. You can logon to the same account on multiple machines simultaneously.
Hence you can leave your PC at home logged in (which is not even necessary to gain uptime/trade storage) and then login from your mac client at any time you want without any problems or a disconnect on your sharing PC.
Hope this helps you.

Problem: Could not upload file extensions.rdfHi folks,
I have a really annoying error.
On my server, Wuala keeps on popping up the following dialogue box:
Problem
Could not upload file xxx.yyy
Reason: [Path to Local Settings]\Temp\Wuala\zzz-xxx.yyy (The system cannot find the file specified)
zzz is some random goup of numbers/letters
xxx.yyy is a specific file. It occurs for the following files:
extensions.rdf
localstore.rdf
content-prefs.sqlite
install.rdf
ietabOverlay.js
chatzilla.jar
downloads.sqlite
places.sqlite
The result is that every so many minutes wuala will pop up about 20 'problem' dialogues and it is really annoying since after about 10 minutes these boxes do no longer respond and I subsequently have to kill the wuala process.
Some more info:
Some of these files seem to be files which were sent to wuala via the filesystem integration and they are (some of them) backups of my ff-settings/bookmarks etc.
None of the files show up in the 'My Uploads' field and also not under maintainance.
Hope some1 can help me fix this cause its really annoying and I don't want to reinstall Wuala since my uptime is very high and built up over month.

Allow users to share space on multiple partitions/HDDsHi People,
I am running multiple PCs at home each with at least 2 HDDs. 1 of the HDDs is meant as a backup for 'more important' files or simply to add more storage. Now my problem is that Wuala can only use space on one partition. This means that I cannot share all the space that I don't need simply because I cannot divide it.
I would love to see an option which allows me to share Folders on different partitions and set a seperate sharing-limit on each of them.
I hope that this is possible and feasible for you to integrate since it would help me a lot!
Thanks,
Darkstriker

At this stage I seem to recall that the Wuala team does indeed have a complete backup of all files on their servers.
Hence your file would be save....
I would however tend agree with Bugreport that you should not solely rely on Wuala to store your file since this is still an Alpha version and we have hence not ever reached feature-completeness. (By the definiton of apha stage)
A comment on the question "Keep Local Backup option?" in Wuala:
It seem that indeed something has changed.
But now there is something else which is unclear:
My cache limit is 1GB
It says that 800MB are used.
When I click clear cache, 0.8GB turns into 2.5Gb (???)
If I then close the Options window and reopen it says 2.5GB again.
If I Save the options windows, it says 800MB and does the same thing all over...
That really has me confused... – Darkstriker, on May 16, 2008 09:07

Specifically Caleido\Wuala\Data and in there most importantly \Caleido\Wuala\Data\Local2
Data is 3.333GB and Local2 occupies some 3.225GB of that and Meta occupies some 108MB (which is not that much of a problem...)
And Wuala doesn't Upload so i have to assume that all the files have finished uploading (and the program also says that)
I cleared my Cache before checking those numbers.
System Specs:
WinXp SP3
2GB DDR
amdx2 3800+
500gb wd sata

Darkstriker replied on May 03, 2008 08:29 to the question "Keep Local Backup option?" in Wuala:
Hi people,
I don't think, that this issue has been addressed sufficiently. I don't want to have a local backup. In fact, I would too like to disable local backup even on machines where I do need direct access. This has several reasons. When I copy data into Wuala, I don't delete the corresponding files on my HDD because most of them are backups such as my Firefox profile and I hence need that on my local drive directly anyways. Therefore the Local backup costs me enormous amount of storage. Same accounts for the music I uploaded. I don't need a second copy of that on my HDD. I wont delete it from my library since that would be simply impractical but I cannot delete the unwanted backup by wuala. If I were to use the wuala backups to listen to music I would put my processor under a constant strain of decrypting which is just completely rediculous.
Concluding:
I want that option back since this backup feeds on my HDD space which I need for other things... and if wuala so desperately need the files afterwards, store the location on the local hdd and reencrypt until the network coverage is sufficient for the local data to be unnecessary.
And I am quite sure, I am not alone!
