Hey Justin, we should combine our threads... I've done some more testing and with nothing running but firefox 3.02 on XP and the built in resource monitor. With a single tab open I log into other inbox and do nothing else. After about a minutes cpu usage is at 100%. One other note, this is with all add-ons disabled.
I did the same thing with chrome and cpu usage stayed at 3 ( so that confirms what Justin said in the other thread that chrome is not a problem)

@Justin, I just tried again with google chrome and you're right it's not nearly as bad as firefox though I do notice a bit. I think I notice because I have one of those energy efficient processing that various it's speed according to it's workload and the fan varies with it as well. So the harder my computer works the louder it gets and with firefox and otherinbox it gets quite loud.
@Joshua, I would suggest testing on an older single core pc... it's my work computer that I notice it most on which is an older p4. Where at home the problem is greatly reduce, but I am running a quad core.
Darryl reported a problem in OtherInbox on September 26, 2008 14:51:
Firefox sluggish and unresponsive with otherinbox tab left openFirefox becomes unresponsive and sluggish if I leave otherinbox open in a tab. I can hear my computer "revving" up to try to handle the load. If becomes difficult to navigate between tabs or within other tabs. After I close the otherinbox tab Firefox and my system returns to normal.
*EDIT - I stated Firefox, but in truth I have tried it with the new Google Chrome browser with the same results.
