DataWraith replied on September 18, 2008 14:10 to the problem "Release notes RSS feed is broken" in Wuala:
The issues I had were resolved, but there's one minor thing left:
A link from the rss feed leads to http://wua.la/en/releasenotes#id[x], but the anchors on the website are called #rn[x], not #id[x].
That's probably not important since one would tend to read the newest release notes anyway after receiving an update via rss, but I thought I'd mention it. :-)

DataWraith reported a problem in Wuala on September 17, 2008 16:37:
Release notes RSS feed is brokenThis isn't about Wuala itself, but about the website.
I tried subscribing to both the rss and atom-feeds on http://wua.la/de/releasenotes/ but had to unsubscribe again, because both feeds are broken:
- The posts link to www.test1.com instead of the release notes-page
- Old posts are served with fresh updated-at timestamps
The second issue makes the feeds completely unusable, since you're spammed with the entire history of release notes whenever you check your feeds.
I like the fact that release notes are available via RSS, but please fix the technical problems :-)

Ich wollte es eigentlich auch nur der Vollständigkeit halber erwähnen, nachdem bagelcat meinte es würde überhaupt keine Nachteile mit sich bringen. – DataWraith, on September 11, 2008 16:22

DataWraith replied on September 11, 2008 11:06 to the idea "Language tag; Feature request" in Wuala:
Another Idea: Wuala could automatically try to determine the language of computer-readable files on upload, and tag them if it's confident enough. If it isn't sure enough about the language, it could then pop up a box and ask. Or make that optional and leave the file untagged.
I haven't really looked into this, but I know there are several libraries that can do language classification with reasonable accuracy (90%+ if enough text is available). Maybe one of them can be integrated with Wuala?
For me personally this isn't really important, but I thought I'd toss the idea in.-

Funny how everybody always asks about the probability for a collision...
SHA-256 generates a 256-bit digest, which means that there are

different possible digests. SHA is designed so as to give every single file a different digest, so it is unlikely that there will be enough files for an accidental collision to occur within the foreseeable future. Someone actively trying to generate collisions would have to spend a huge amount of effort to find even a single collision, on the order of many supercomputer-years.

Yes, a list of digital fingerprints could be made, which may be used to prove that you either are storing or accessing a file on that list, at least until anonymous maintenance is implemented (see the thread I linked in the first post).
