Todd's reply to "Attempting to load Hacker News results in about:blank page" was just promoted to the most useful! dave981 and 3 other people think it's one of the best replies.
i think your the ssb is confused cuz it loaded about:blank the very first time you ran it (for whatever reason.. maybe hacker news was momentarily down)... (long story, but Fluid has to know the *actual* first URL resolved/loaded on first run so it can determine the url whitelist. the one you entered... cuz what you *think* is the final url is often not the actual final url, and fluid really needs to know the real one) any how... delete the prefs file and try again... OR give it a different "Name" when you create it. it will work this time
prefs file:
/Users/<your-username>/Library/Preferences/com.fluidapp.FluidInstance.HackerNews</your-username>

looks to be working just fine! Product looks stellar. Thank you for the help, and kudos for being on getstatisfaction.com and being so responsive.
One thing that I have wondered about is how will I know whether articles that are more commented on will be more interesting to me? Do you notice any other users ask that question or is it just assumed that if many people comment/Digg an article that I will like it? Btw, this is a fair assumption to make, I was just seeing if you guys have any info beyond that, maybe some stats? Just curious.

No Change in GReader after extension install in FF3i installed the googlereader firefox extension and all i see is a drop down menu for all/good/great/best and nothing else new in google reader. Am I missing something? I am using Firefox 3. I don't remember explicitly installing Greasemonkey but I don't know how to tell if it is installed or not. I am very frustrated as this extension looks like the kind that I would love and want to share with many people, but I am close to giving up on it. Help?
