Hi Diane,
Are you referring to the comments on our page (example: http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/weath..., or within a certain widget?
I just went to the widget above and saw some profanity, which I removed. It's certainly a debatable point about policing before a comment goes up or after. We go with the 'police after' approach. Users can flag comments as inappropriate, which we then review.

Hi Jason,
You sound terribly upset. I'm not sure why you think that I'm talking down to you, but I won't worry about it too much.
Despite being upset, you're obviously unwilling to give me any feedback to help me, yourself, or any of our other users (potential or otherwise). An example of this feedback would be what you're actually seeing, as all of the browsers that you listed above (Mac and PC) are working properly with the Get Widget menu based on what I see, and on metrics. Again, if you're seeing something different, I can't offer support until you tell me your problem.
Thanks for the insults. People like you are what make people like me valuable.
Merry Christmas, Mr. Small

Hi Jason,
What part of our instructions was deceiving to you? What type of Facebook compatibility did you expect?
Since this thread was closed (a month ago), we did in fact add a way to post a widget directly to a Facebook Fan Page without having to create an application.
In the end, if our support of Facebook isn't what your major NYC agency is looking for, that's unfortunate. Millions of users, large and small, use our tools to enable the syndication of their content. As with any product, you can't please everyone all the time. With a platform like Facebook, which changes it's policies every few months, and is generally restrictive of tons of external content, it's often better to pay the few grand to a web developer to make a Facebook app just for you.

All of the 'Pro Widgets' are Pro Templates, not a widget created from scratch like yours.
Pro Templates are Slideshow, Countdown, Form, Poll, and This or That on this page:

Sure, you can read up on all of the docs on developing widgets here to see what features are supported:

Dave Rhea replied on December 17, 2009 18:52 to the question "Queries regarding integration to Social Networking Sites" in Widgetbox:
Hi Rony,
We provide Flash and/or Javascript code depending on what type of widget you create. It's compatible anywhere that supports that type of code. There's not a simple answer for your list.
1.) We support Facebook Fan Page apps, which can embed widgets or other content display on Facebook Fan Pages. We also support posting a widget to a Fan Page or Profile wall. We also support creating a facebook app from a blog widget ONLY, and this may change base don Facebook's impending removal of apps from profiles.
2.) We support Myspace, but only for Flash widgets. Myspace only allows Flash.
3.) Is this actually Netlog? If so, I'm not sure what they support, but see the first paragraph of this post.
4.) See the first paragraph again. I'm not sure what Ning supports currently.
5.) Supported.
6.) You can post a widget to twitter, but Twitter doesn't let you display a widget on their site.
7.) See the first paragraph again.
All widgets can be free, but free widgets are ad-powered. You can learn about paid subscriptions here:

You can find most of this info and additional info here:

Dave Rhea replied on December 17, 2009 17:30 to the question "How WidgetBox remote is different(besides hosting) from simply integrating into another site using iframe ?" in Widgetbox:
That's kind of like saying 'what's the point in a widget?'. THe point is content syndication. Instead of giving people an iframe, users have the ability to configure, manage, and report on that iframe.
There's quite a bit more, but it'd just sound like a wikipedia entry for 'what's a web widget' :p
Hope this helps!
Dave
Dave Rhea replied on December 17, 2009 03:28 to the question "widget not showing in newest widgets list" in Widgetbox:
Hey Anton,
You should be all set. I delisted the original widget. You can keep it, delete it, etc. I appended '-old' to the end of its URL.
I did notice the name was slightly different on the new widget, so you may want to take a look at that if it's important.
You should se your widget pop into the Newest list in the next hour or so.

Dave Rhea replied on December 17, 2009 01:04 to the question "widget not showing in newest widgets list" in Widgetbox:
Hi Anton,
The date that we're using in that listing is the date that the widget was first published to the gallery. It looks like maybe your widget was published before (listed or unlisted) on January 18th, 2009, so it's stuck on that date.
We're going to look into this further, but that's where I'm at now.
