Dave Verwer replied on August 03, 2009 15:06 to the problem "Problem setting up git diff" in Connected Flow:
Managed to get it working with git difftool instead of git diff using info on stack overflow[1]. My git config now looks like this and no external script is needed:
[diff]
tool = chdiff
[difftool "chdiff"]
cmd = chdiff \"$LOCAL\" \"$REMOTE\"
[difftool]
prompt = false

Dave Verwer reported a problem in Connected Flow on August 03, 2009 14:53:
Problem setting up git diffI tried to set up Changes.app with git using the instructions on the Changes Wiki[1] and have a script set up as described there:
#!/bin/sh
[ $# -eq 7 ] && /usr/bin/env chdiff --wait "$2" "$5"
I have also set the git diff.external using git config --global to use that script but whenever I run "git diff" I get:
external diff died, stopping at [file]
I have chdiff installed through the Changes menu and launching Changes through chdiff works without problems. I am using git v1.6.3.3 and the latest Changes app.
Any ideas?

Dave Verwer reported a problem in Spotify on February 04, 2009 10:39:
Crash on loading spotify (crash report attached)I am having a reoccurring crash on launching Spotify, the main window appears and then after about 5 seconds (before the app is responsive) I get this crash (http://pastie.org/private/jhb9pwyx6az...).
It might be that it is to do with a shared playlist as adding a shared playlist is one of the last things that I remember doing with the application before it started crashing every time. Also, the main window shows one of the playlists with a playlist name of "Loading...". I have downloaded and installed the latest version from your site just in case it was that.
Is there any way I can delete all my playlists from the web at all as I would like to try that.

Thanks for the reply Richard. This is quite strange as we do have people who have PPC Mac's who have been using Speakapedia during our private beta and have not had any problems.
Could you open up "Console.app" in your Applications/Utilities folder on your iMac and make sure that "Console Messages" is selected on the left hand side, then type "Speakapedia" in to the search box in the top right hand corner and finally select "Clear Display" from the View menu.
Then run Speakapedia again and let me know if there are any messages that appear in the Console window when it fails to import?
Thanks
Dave

This could be one of two things, first lets just check that the files really are not being imported. Go to the Music section of your iTunes library and in the search field type in "Speakapedia", this should filter down by artist and if the tracks are there they should be shown.
I am looking to change the wording of the messages within Speakapedia to make it clearer where the tracks are going as many people assume that the tracks will end up in Podcasts rather than Music.
If there are no tracks by Speakapedia in iTunes then it could be one other thing. Open iTunes preferences on the "Advanced" tab and check that "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" is checked. Currently the audio files are generated in a temporary folder and are deleted once imported as it is assumed (incorrectly!) that iTunes would always copy them into the library.
The workaround for this issue is currently to switch on the "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" option, I will be adding an option to choose an alternate location for the files to be exported to in a future release.
Sorry you had trouble and thanks for coming to report this issue.
Cheers
Dave
