Suppress notifications/updates for FriendFeed 'like'..I use twhirl for twitter and friendfeed. One thing that's annoying about FriendFeed though is that twirl will keep renotifying me for the same news item if someone new 'like's it. It's not unusual for me for some popular post from a friend-of-friend to ding me 5 times as people click 'like'. Given that additional 'like's really add no useful content to me, there really should be a way to suppress updates/notifications for these.
The way twhirl does notifications for existing items that have new comments or likes also seems kinda braindead. The notification of these looks exactly like the original post. It should say something like "new comment(s) for [item]", or some snippet of the comment.

Yep I totally agree. I think it's frankly lame of BK to throw out the "we'd rather have a stable app" excuse. There's no excuse for not releasing something on day 1, much less now 6 weeks later? We have a large handful of quite stable apps out there that do the exact same thing as BK (some of them on day 1!) What is BK's problem? Clearly for one it's bad programmers and/or bad product managers.
By not having even a minimally functional app on day 1, BK lost, lost big, and continues every day to lose iPhone users that will never come back. BK at this point must not only come out with a good app, but come out with a great app that toally blows away the competition in every way (and of course be free). Unless BK has new functionality on the backend that they haven't yet divulged, there is no reason to expect that BK can do this. They are now fast becoming an "also ran" in the localized-pictureified-twitter race. Sorry.
I'll still try it when it launches, but I honestly don't expect BK to be able to catch up to all these other apps and companies that have such a head start. Plus, surely twitter itself (or facebook) can tomorrow integrate all this stuff into their system and suddenly there's no reason to bother with a third party site?-

live chat displays wrong nicknameI was chatting away on a channel live. I entered my name, but for some reason it chose a name of someone else.
A day later I was chatting when live again, someone else on the channel reported that his messages were getting tagged with my name! Morever, there were two people on the same channel typing with the same name (and one of them was not him).
You guys should either get rid of the nick selection, or do like what ustream does and just use your username (or append -1, -2, if you are in multiple browser sessions).
