Mozilla Labs released the jetpack extension, and one of the leads for addons.mozilla.org and Delicious aficionado, Nick Nguyen, released a jetpack for delicious:

I just installed it, and it has a little counter in the bottom right that has the URL count. It's not the prettiest thing in the world, but you are free to change it.
Note: This is not an official Delicious extension.
