The fix for this API is currently scheduled for our release the week of June 22nd, though we're more than happy to work directly with any customers on a work around via comment feeds between now and then. Over the next few months we'll be updating http://developer.typepad.com/ with more documentation and feeds.
David Recordon asked a question in Posterous on June 12, 2009 02:18:
What happens when you combine Flickr and Twitter autoposting? If I've setup autopost with both Flickr and Twitter, what will happen when I email a photo along with a short sentence?
I assume that:
1) the photo will be uploaded to Flickr
2) a new post on my Posterous blog will be created which embeds the photo directly from Flickr along with the short text
3) a Tweet will be created with the text and a link back to the post on my Posterous blog.
Is this correct?
David Recordon replied on June 08, 2009 19:21 to the question "How do I find out about updates to TypePad's AtomAPI?" in Six Apart:
As you might know, over the past year we've been working on transitioning all of TypePad's blogs to a new platform. As a result you'll see changes such as IDs becoming strings and other small changes (like the link relations) in our APIs. Unfortunately, our Comments service endpoint in AtomPub does not currently seem to be working. I've begun working with our engineering team to resolve this bug and will provide an update once I know when it will be fixed.
While I know that this won't fit into your AtomPub implementation directly, we do offer per-post feeds of comments which you can discover on an entry's permalink page like http://blog.davidrecordon.com/2008/12.... Hopefully these feeds will be able to help until our AtomPub Comments service is fixed.
As for where to subscribe to updates, we try to include them in Everything TypePad when they are user facing though this specific issue is a bug versus a desired change to the API. You should also watch http://developer.typepad.com/ as we'll be making some changes to it over the next few months.

I also want to sort my queue by show. Changing to sort by "Title and Information" seems to work, but I'm wondering if new episodes will then get added to the end of my queue again? This would be a great feature addition especially if when sorted this way the queue UI focused on the show instead of each episode.-

David Recordon replied on April 03, 2009 21:40 to the question "stop google indexing my blog" in Six Apart:
On Vox when you're creating a post you can choose to share it with only your friends and/or family which will cause it to not be public. This in turn would mean that it isn't indexed by search engines. I don't believe that there is the ability in Vox to post content publicly while prohibiting search engines from indexing it.

Great, go ahead and add http://feeds2.feedburner.com/ringceblog to your LinkedIn Profile since your code feed is listed first for both of your current website links. I don't believe that you should see duplication when you do this.

David Recordon replied on February 15, 2009 21:07 to the problem "Blog link displays duplicates and does not find multiple feeds" in Six Apart:
Hi Lakshmi,
As Zalary said, BlogLink is designed to automatically find a feed for the websites that you list in your LinkedIn Profile. This means that there isn't any configuration that BlogLink users need to do to get up and running.
Of course the downside to this automatic configuration is that advanced uses, like what you're doing, aren't really supported. In order to make this work today, you'd need to list your website and then the second feed URL within your LinkedIn Profile. I understand that this is suboptimal, but BlogLink was really designed around the case of each website having one feed.
(I agree though that BlogLink should not be showing duplicate entries.)
Sorry,
--David

David Recordon replied on January 01, 2009 22:08 to the question "BlogLink Application Questions....What Am I Missing?" in LinkedIn:
After installing Blog Link, it will automatically place a box on your LinkedIn Profile showing your recent blog posts as well as a box on your LinkedIn home page which should aggregate recent posts from contacts within your network.
For your profile, it should not matter what you name your websites as it looks through the list of websites for any site which has a RSS or Atom feed.
When viewing the Blog Link box on your LinkedIn home page, you shouldn't need to do anything to trigger it to fetch recent posts from your network. Rather, depending on how many contacts you have, it will select some of your contacts, look for recent updates, and then aggregate them together. You should also be able to click the "View More" link which will take you directly to the Blog Link application to view updates from your network by themselves.
While we've done a lot of work to have Blog Link perform as intended, we've found situations -- especially when a LinkedIn user has a very large network -- that due to the information returned by the LinkedIn API and the work involved to aggregate content, the recent posts from your network view can be quite slow to load. We apologize for this, though Blog Link should still have no problem aggregating your recent blog posts on your LinkedIn Profile for others to see.
David Recordon replied on December 08, 2008 23:09 to the question "Widget Development" in Six Apart:
It isn't actually required to be a TypePad subscriber in order to develop a TypePad Widget and submit it to the Widget Gallery. You're able to create a free TypePad Connect account (http://www.typepad.com/connect/) which will give you access to the API key that is required.
That said, it is not currently possible to test/install your widget without having access to a TypePad blog.
