The way it works is as follows:
You assign a GSO project to a project in BC, also providing the message category and people to notify.
When a new design is uploaded, a message is sent to basecamp.
When a comment is posted on this design, new version upload, or the design signed off, a comment is posted to this message.

Hope that answers your question. If you have any suggestions on how we could further integrate, we'd love to hear them.

OK, we've just made some changes to the client notification procedure, hopefully it's more intuitive now.

Clients will get emailed with a auto-generated password when they first get assigned a project. They will then get an email notification if they are assigned any more projects.
If you don't want an email to be sent, you don't have to assign the client login to a project, or you can disable the login altogether.
