I had the same problem (with FF 3.0.4) and installed the latest beta (0.1.3.RC3) and it works like a charm now. You can grab it from the link someone posted above: https://ubiquity.mozilla.com/xpi/
David replied on November 27, 2008 06:44 to the update "A fork in the road (An important announcement about I want Sandy)" in I want Sandy:
Rael, I loved and proselytized Sandy, though I effectively stopped using it recently because of problems with texting due to my phone company. So keep in mind I'm not as invested in Sandy as many of the users are.
Now is the time that you need to convince Twitter to keep the servers up for another couple weeks, start looking like you care about the pissed off users by responding to them (instead of just the happy people), and try to manage this in a way that shows you and Twitter actually care about user experience.
I hope you realize already that the people who are most angry about this are those who were incredibly invested in Sandy -- the people who could have been loyal followers of anything you touched in the future. Good luck trying to get that kind of loyalty back if you keep making this seem like those who are most hurt aren't worth more than two-weeks notice.
Oh, and Twitter: if this is how much planning you put into your services and your user experience, then I'm definitely going to be keeping my eye out for a comparable service and keeping quiet about the joys of Twitter in the meantime. This is a big warning flag for me. Hopefully the responses have been one for you.

There's the "Submit a Request for Assistance" page: https://help.twitter.com/index.php?pg...
And if that form doesn't work, there's another (nearly identical) one here: http://twitter.com/help/
Good luck.
David replied on November 21, 2008 00:46 to the question "How do I delete my account?" in Twitter:
It's in the Twitter FAQ:
1. Log in to Twitter
2. Click Settings
3. Click 'delete my account' at the bottom of the page
4. Verify that you really want to do it and voila, it's done.

A comment on the problem "I'm getting charged for using the Twitter shortcode in Canada (21212)." in Twitter:
Hey Lucas, I've talked to MTS a few times and they always stonewall by saying that they're being charged by Twitter, therefore they are charging me as passing the money along. What did you say that go them past this point? – David, on August 29, 2008 20:50
David reported a problem in Twitter on June 09, 2008 19:32:
I'm getting charged for using the Twitter shortcode in Canada (21212).I am in Canada (using 21212 through MTS Mobility) and getting charged for every text I send to Twitter. I just got off the phone with MTS (yet again) and they assure me that the money is not charged by them, but by the company behind the shortcode (Twitter) and therefore sent directly to Twitter by MTS.
Either Twitter is getting money from the phone company for what is supposed to be a free service, or the money is getting lost in the shuffle. All I know is that I'm getting charged and the bill points to Twitter.
I'd like to talk to an actual rep from Twitter on this, since good intentioned assumptions will do nothing for me or my phone bill.

David replied on March 25, 2008 19:06 to the question "If you have a certain plan, will Twitter charge you?" in Twitter:
If that were the case, I would think Twitter would be outsourcing the 21212 code, as I would think the phone company in my province has no say over what code Twitter gets. I hope it's something like what you're guessing, but then again, the reputation of phone companies isn't usually a good one when it comes to fleecing the customer...
Thanks for all your input mdy. I'm glad someone's trying to help figure it out with me. :)
David replied on March 25, 2008 15:54 to the question "If you have a certain plan, will Twitter charge you?" in Twitter:
mdy,
I know -- that's why I'm so confused about this. My phone company said the charges were from the number, as they were being charged by the number and then passed them on to me. The only other thing I can think of is the mention of international numbers in the FAQs -- but my phone company said it wasn't something they themselves had charged...
I'd like to know if Twitter (or a user) has come across this before and knows how to deal with it. I know the FAQs say they don't charge, and I know that everyone here says they don't charge, but that doesn't help me and my phone bill when my phone company is saying the charge didn't come from them either.
Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, what did it turn out to be for you?

I have now received a printout from my phone company of a couple days worth of the SMS charges I mentioned above, and there are multiple $0.15 charges that correspond directly with texts sent by me to Twitter's 21212 short code for Canada (which my phone company says are charged to them by 21212 -- therefore, not originating from my phone company).
Is this the place to deal with it, or is there a support email address or phone number I should be directing this to?-

David asked a question in I want Sandy on March 14, 2008 22:13:
Is MTS Mobility included under Bell Mobility Canada for SMS?I'm on MTS Mobility (in Manitoba, Canada), which is often partnered with Bell Mobility Canada (as Bell is national and MTS is provincial). Does MTS Mobility fall under the umbrella of Bell Mobility Canada in Sandy's "Mobile" settings, or am I out of luck for the time being?
I tried getting an SMS confirmation code using Bell Mobility Canada as my provider, but I haven't received anything back in an hour and a half, which is making me wonder if MTS is included.

Does Sandy charge for SMS/mobile messages? Are there any charges from Sandy for SMS/mobile messages sent to or from the service?
I'm not asking if there are any charges from my phone company, just if there are any from Sandy's end.
(and if there's some documentation somewhere that I missed on this, a link would be great)

I keep reading and hearing that Twitter does not charge for text updates, but I have received some $0.15 charges from the Canada short code (21212), not from my phone company.
Based on two days worth of charges, the charges seem to be based on messages sent to Twitter via text. Is there any way that these charges have come from Twitter, as my phone company says they have nothing to do with them?
