I'm sure it was 9.1??, when I had to down load the current version because I updated parallels and the old version would not work. At present you have to put in a total for the year say £400 this is at a fixed cost per unit. I'm sure in the previous version I used the current cost per unit at my suppliers cost to me ie: 1.25p per kw. As my supplier changes their cost to me yours is static, it assumes that everyone is on the same tariff if I assume right. I may and probably am wrong about this but I'm so sure it was a cost per unit of power Kw

personal targetSince my last post all has worked fine. My current issue is with the new updated software version. Could you reintroduce the cost per unit in setting your peronal target. With the current setup at a cost in pounds per year it (I assume) is set to a set cost per unit of power, I have set my personal limit and it is so low the only way to get it to read something like in the old version is at a cost of more than a hundred pounds above my yearly cost. So please reintroduce the cost per unit as was, in old version, as I think people will have differing tarrifs ergo different costs.

EUREKA
finally found the missing link, it was a 'ser2pl.sys file. I got the aforementioned error and a pop up box which asked me to point the way to the file. Well I pointed it to all the drivers I had downloaded and bingo it found what it was looking for. Alas I cannot say which driver it was (no methodology to my search) so sorry.

Dam! Dam! and Blast. My newly installed copy of Parallels crashed, have reloaded and all seems fine have reloaded your Current Cost programe. Problem is still with not recognising the Prolific driver(s), have downloaded the Prolific driveres from Prolifics site and will not recognise them. Drivers downloaded, (USB to I/O Port Controllers PL-2303 USB to Serial Bridge Controller), (wd_pl2302_v1800.zip), (_IO Cable_PL-2302_Drivers - Generic_Windows_sp_pl2502NW_v20044), (Generic_Windows_allinone_PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller_v10518),( _IO Cable_PL-2501_Drivers_Windows_sp_pl2501_PCLinq2v1007) none of these seem to work. Once again I ask for guidance in respect of a driver that will work. Will any other drivers work if so can anybody point me in the right direction. My current Cost cable was supplied by the Current Cost product site if of any help and I'm using a CC128 meter. As I have said before all was working fine till latest Parallels update, the old software will not run on Mac OS 10.6 snow leopard.

Driver problems I think with CC 128I have upgraded to parallels 4 on my Mac, after upgrading to Snow leopard which would not run my previous parallels. Problem I cannot find a driver that works with my cable. All was working fine in the previous version. Have downloaded and installed PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller_v10518 for the cable. I get this error when asked in Current Cost to connect to com3 "serial exception: could not open port com3: (2, 'createfile', 'the system cannot find the specified file.')", Im assuming it cannot find the driver. In system>devices>hardware the com3 port is highlighted and says not connected. Any ideas. Thanks Dave-
