The same thing happened to an elder colleague of mine when checking in at O'Hare last night. They have at least changed the Premier scam charge to $45 but I even almost accepted it when checking in due to the placement of the button areas. I still have yet to get through to a UAL representative but they added verbiage to the terms and conditions of this "offer" to note that the fee is not-refundable.
Have things really gotten this bad for the airline industry that they have to run marketing scams at their check-in kiosks?
