Hello,
My name is Christopher (DELL-Chris_M), and I work with Dell's Online Community Outreach program in our corporate headquarters here in Round Rock, Texas. My job is to work as a Liaison between Dell and outside internet communities in issues dealing with Desktop computers.
What is your PCs default auto power on bios setting date?

Joel asked a question in Dell on July 13, 2008 21:28:
Vostro Mini Tower, Auto Power On EVERY DAYI'm confused by the auto power on bios setting, it has a date settings (0 - 31), but I want it to auto power on every day.. so what do I need to set the date to?
Joel replied on July 13, 2008 21:26 to the discussion "Frequent Product Updates" in Bozteck:
I almost like it when updates are somewhat silent.
Like with anti-virus programs, I much prefer to see "Virus database was updated to version 1.0.5.0, Sun, 13th Jul" rather than "There are new virus definitions, do you want to update?"..
But then, how do you decide whether it's something people want to be auto-updated on or something that they may want to keep as an old version.

Thanks for the speedy reply :), that's probably the problem... with not actually working with any remote windows logging in and such before, I've not had a clue how to set any of this up so I've been playing with random remote desktop and terminal services settings.. so I actually don't think it's set up correctly on said remote computer.
I did look to the site for an explanation on this, but it was lacking this part of the setting up remote scripting :P.
I'll play around with the file sharing thing (although not entirely sure where to start) and give it a go.. any more info would be great.
Thanks again

Adsense link on GmailWouldn't it be great if there was a link to "Your Account" on Gmail so you can get to your adsense account?
Dayjo asked a question in Bozteck on July 13, 2008 08:58:
BeyondExec Login ProblemsSo when I try and execute a remote script, or the restart / shutdown commands (or try and use the "get processes" or "system information"... anything to do with accessing the remote computer), when it asks for a login, I enter the details and it just fails.. it continues to ask me for the log in details (Resetting the username to Guest (which is fine), and not logging in).
I'm using UltraVNC on the remote pc, which works great :)
Now, I've not been using this for very long, so it's possible I'm just missing something obvious. There's probably some things I have to set up on the remote computer.. but any suggestions would be mighty handy :)
