Duplicate Category Merging and ReplacingRight now in Moneydance there can exist multiple expense/income categories with the same name. For example, I can create multiple expense categories named REBATE. Or, within a category there can be multiple sub-categories with the same name. This can easily result when importing data from other software packages; e.g., MS Money.
However, there does not appear to be any way to "merge" the duplicates. I can certainly delete the multiple copies. But, doing so will purge the category information from those transactions that used it.
It would be nice to be able to (a) prevent the creation of multiple categories and (b) allow merging of one category into another; e.g., renaming REBATES to REFUNDS will alert the user that REFUNDS already exists and that those transactions with REBATES will be updated to REFUNDS.

Reminders and Buying SharesWhen I am in a checking account I can record a purchase of shares of a specific mutual fund; e.g., BuyXfr, Joe's Mutual Fund, Dingbat Fund, and type in the shares, and amount.
I can't do this when setting up a reminder. In the reminders I can set up to transfer money to Joe's Fund, but I can't set it to buy the actual fund type; e.g., Dingbat Fund. Basically;y, as a reminder it appears to force you to use a cash account in the mutual fund, but then there is no easy way that I can see to move money from the cash account to the actual fund,

Closing AccountsThere does not appear to be anyway to close an account. You can hide it if its balance is zero. But, what I want to do is to close the account (but not delete it). This way the financial data stays as part of the MoneyDance account, but does not show when setting up reminders, paying bills, etc. Accounts with zero balances still show up when setting up bills, for example.
