I just spent some time trying to do so, and I cannot get any of the plugins to accept the code from Scribd. I even removed some things that might set off PBwiki's spam filters, like "display:none", but to no avail. There is something in the Scribd code that is being actively blocked by PBwiki; the 'Preview' button does nothing when I try to use the Scribd code. Unfortunately, their security model for spam prevents them from telling us what trips the filter, because then the spammers would know how to avoid the filter.
They are reportedly still working on the filters, and the current settings may not be the final settings.

Embed Code for Scribd Document SharingHas anyone had success in embedding Scribd documents? into PBwiki 2.0?
Guy Fawkes replied on April 15, 2008 14:08 to the question "Articulate Presenter." in PBwiki:
No, the problem is that PBwiki does not allow embedded Javascript, ostensibly for "security" reasons. I suppose they (Articulate) could roll up the huge amount of javascript into .js files, but there are other considerations. For example, you cannot place uploaded files into folders. I had planned to try to modify Articulate's JS to look into the /f folder (where PBwiki puts everything) instead of the /data and /player folders, but I can't even get PBwiki to let me place the Javascript in a page, so I can't proceed any further than that.
If you are a business-class wiki, you might contact PBwiki's sales people. It's my understanding that there's not much they won't do for money.

Guy Fawkes replied on April 15, 2008 13:15 to the question "Articulate Presenter." in PBwiki:
No, it does not appear that you will be able to do this at the present time. PBwiki has some pretty severe, unpublished restrictions on what can be placed on a wiki page. I just tried all the current methods available, and PBwiki refuses to accept the Articulate Presenter code. You will need to find a different wiki provider, that can accommodate business uses such as this.
dean replied on April 15, 2008 12:59 to the question "Articulate Presenter." in PBwiki:
The published output is specific to each presentation. In the published output you would typically have a player.html file, a player folder and a data folder within a folder that was published by Presenter. The folder that was published by Presenter is what needs to be uploaded to the website. The launch file is the player.html file.
There is no typical size for a presentation. It completely depends on the content of your presentation.

dean asked a question in PBwiki on April 14, 2008 19:54:
Articulate Presenter.articulate presenter. I'd like to upload articulate presenter presentation to my wiki.
It requires:
HTML files (I’ve never known a Web host that doesn’t!)
JavaScript (.js) files
XML files
Flash (.SWF and/or .FLV) files
Can this potentially be accomplished?
Best,
Dean

There were a small number of "skins" available for PBwiki V1.0, but I just checked, and all that's available right now in V2.0 are "Custom colors" (themes) and "Custom logo" (favicon, I think). They're still working on the ability to load your custom css; it could be some time before they have any pre-made CSS available. They do have some "templates", but those are not templates for functional pages, like forms or layout options; they're standard wiki pages with some pre-filled content that you can modify.

No, there are not. The classes and ids are also undocumented. I would say that this is because they are still developing V2.0, but they were undocumented in V1.0 as well.
However, as Newbie (he's not) has indicated, the user community is more than willing to help you gain the understanding you need. I've personally spent many hours digging through PBwiki CSS files, as have many others, so feel free to ask any questions you'd like. We'll do what we can to get you up-to-speed.

Casey Greene replied on April 08, 2008 20:07 to the problem "file upload times out." in PBwiki:
If you have a free wiki, your limit for the whole wiki is 10mb. If you have a paid wiki with what should be enough space, it could just be your internet connection taking a long time to upload it, to the point where it doesn't finish.
YouTube and most other video hosting sites should be able to accept the file if you wanted to upload it there and embed it in your wiki, but that's up to you to decide if that's the route you want to take.
