Is this still happening? Try disabling trading, restart wuala, re enable trading. -

I have seen some applications that don't play well with network drives. This may be another one to add to the list. -

I think that would be an interesting feature to be able to get status information (pending downloads uploads?) from the page and access remotely. Although i think it should mature a little more before such a feature is added. Maybe include basic authenticaton so anyone just cant see what you are downloading. -
