Terry Phillips replied on April 02, 2009 01:19 to the problem "Intermittent crash when dragging cover image from iPhoto" in Delicious Monster:
Hrm, that's the console log, not the crash report, so there isn't as much detail as I'd like, despite how long it is.
What it looks like is there's a leak somewhere, so as you're adding images, they're eating up space, but they aren't Freed, and after doing quite a few the space is gone and adding a new one fails (crashing.)
When you relaunch the app you should be able to add images again because the space will then be Freed. You can try quitting the app every so often if you're dragging a lot of large images from iPhoto into DL2, but, obviously, that isn't an ideal solution.
We'll look into it and see what we can do. Sorry for the trouble in the meantime, I wish it was an easier fix.

Terry Phillips replied on February 12, 2009 23:38 to the question "iSight reading troubles" in Delicious Monster:
The intermittent results are probably due to the time of day you're scanning. It sounds silly, but you need plenty of light for consistent scanning -- that means if you tried it during the day it might work fine, and then if you try again at night, it might not work as well. If it's dark out while you're scanning, make sure that you have as much light as possible. I can't stress the importance enough.

Terry Phillips replied on February 12, 2009 23:28 to the question "Script for copying ISBN/barcode?" in Delicious Monster:
There isn't one built in already, but it's possible someone on these forums could write one for you if you don't speak AppleScript.
Another option would be to export a list of ASIN/ISBNs to another application, such as in a CSV file (text), or to Excel, and then to go from there with whatever you need them for.

Terry Phillips replied on February 12, 2009 01:39 to the question "Foreign language shelf -be a hero and make my day please" in Delicious Monster:
Hrm. This one is a bit tricky because there isn't in the Details panel that specifically marks a movie as being Foreign. What you would probably have to do is add "Foreign" or another marker to one of the fields for all your foreign movies, and then create a smart shelf that sorts using that marker.

Terry Phillips replied on February 12, 2009 01:32 to the question "Unable to scan in version 2 using external DV (works in version 1)" in Delicious Monster:
Demo mode won't affect the scanning, its only limitation is the number of items you can enter into your library (25.) The green boxes are to line up barcodes, but you should have a video feed, not just a black window.
It's possible you need a third-party driver, there are some scanners that worked with Version 1, that no longer work in Version 2 without the driver.
I think http://serialio.com has one that's free. Sorry for the trouble.
Terry Phillips set one of Terry Phillips' replies as an official response to "Delicious Library not achieving lookup results" in Delicious Monster
Terry Phillips replied on February 12, 2009 01:22 to the problem "Delicious Library not achieving lookup results" in Delicious Monster:
A number of factors affect scanning. The two most important are your internet connection and the amount of light in the area where you're scanning.
One thing to note is that scanning during the day, when there's lots of light will probably work better than scanning at night. If you are scanning at night, make sure you have plenty of lights on so that the iSight can read the barcode.
Another factor is your internet connection. The speed of your connection (depending on what you use) will vary with how much outside traffic it's getting -- how many neighbors are using it, whether you're downloading or streaming anything, etc. The lookup will time after a bit if nothing is getting through. Resetting your modem might help with this problem.
You can find the plist in your home folder Home->Library->Preferences->com.delicious-monster.library2.plist. I promise it's there.
