You mentioned that you have a brand new power adapter. Do you still have the old one? Were you replacing it because the old one was doing this too? Just trying to make sure you don't have a defective adapter.

That folder doesn't exist. I have Windows Vista, and in Application data\user name, there is no de.makesoft.twhirl folder.

Is it placed somewhere else in Vista?

Can authenticate, but can't receive or send tweets using twhirl. Unlike the last user reporting this problem, I am using Vista Business. The twhirl interface is blank except a timestamp at the bottom and the following message: error receiving direct messages. See the following:

You'll have to get a US or English keyboard from ebay or our spare parts, and then go into regional settings in the control panel to change the keyboard layout to the proper one. Keyboards are pretty inexpensive: usually about 30USD.

Did you purchase the system while in Japan or are you abroad? The region the system was purchased in makes a difference as to where you would call.

BTW- it sounds like your backlight has prematurely failed. Usually, they last for many years. Under warranty, they'll just replace the entire panel.

Yes, you can contact support, and they will repair it if necessary, as long as it's still within the service contract period. We keep track of all of that on our end, so don't worry if you don't have the paperwork :-)

How old is this machine? If the battery is not holding a charge, but it appears to be charging normally, My first suspect would be battery failure. Batteries come with a 1 year warranty, and failure before this time period would yield you a battery replacement.
