if you search my previous posts,
this is what i always push them to consider.
long before they even consider pro account.
(probably... it's the trigger that they setup pro account)
even on the old forum somewhere you can find about this.
http://web.archive.org/*/forums.widge...
my idea was to find a way to let developer profit from their own widget.
let the premium user(or pro as they call it) pay the developer for something like faster widget host, ad free etc...
but it seem they need to find their own profit first.
they always think the developer should be happy because we can use their platform for 'free'
i think all widget platform are free.

hi.
that web just created in less than an hour.
just to show you how easy it is.
and because it's fresh new web, google have not yet index it.
it would takes few days or weeks. depends on how busy google is.
and i also have not yet put the widget.
it's easy to get the widget to search that web, like this:
http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/googl...
btw. i sent you email.
dennyhalim replied on May 16, 2009 21:49 to the idea "pro account question & idea" in Widgetbox:
one more thing i think quite important.
because the 'get widget' button is important for distribution of our widgets,
imho, it's best to let the button as default.
so, when user do not have pro account and the developer with pro account let user disable it,
the button should stays until the user explicitly choose to remove the button.

dennyhalim replied on May 16, 2009 11:14 to the question "Anyone successfully use a Google search widget on their Amazon store?" in Widgetbox:
yes that's absolutely amazon astore.
and google absolutely will not index it. (or perhaps amazon tell google not to index it)
your option, as i said before, setup a script that fetch amazon product.
then you can use my google search widget to search it:
http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/googl...
if you do not expertise in php scripting, you can register on my wpmu blog:
http://registeryourname.gobloglah.com
then you can activate amazon plugin.
then configure the amazon plugin using your affiliate id etc...
then use my google widget to search the web.
and if you want you can activate domain mapping plugin so that you can use your own domain name like astore.ruggedrider.com instead of yourname.gobloglah.com
dennyhalim shared an idea in Widgetbox on May 15, 2009 05:34:
pro account question & ideai have developt few dozens popular widgets
if i purchase pro account...
- can i choose which widget i want to remove the 'get widget' button? i want to preserve the 'get widget' button for some widgets.
- can i choose who (only certain domain name) can remove the 'get widget' button?
now, an idea:
rather than selling pro account to developer,
i think it's better if widgetbox let us - the developer - resell the pro account to our users and get an income share from this.

hi.
i did a lot of custom google search widgets.
you can see my widgets here:
http://wiki.dennyhalim.com/mywidget
if you mean amazon astore with url like this:
astore.amazon.com/youaffiliateid-20
then, it is not searchable.
it seems that google do not crawl all site with such url.
alternative is to setup php script that fetch amazon products on your website. then use google to search this site.
you can contact me with your detailed requirement and see if i can offer any solution.

A comment on the question "how can i integrate my soup.io flow into my website (without blowing everything up)?" in Soup:
if you want to display everything from soup.io i think point your domain to it would be the best solution. – dennyhalim, on February 28, 2009 22:57
