I am here, and CalendarsThatWork.com is in business just fine. Come on...
I have extended your membership for a year. Don't worry about payment. I've had many successful orders today, let's not worry about what happened with yours until next year.
P.S. I see one email from you, about seven hours ago. I was sleeping.
Take care,
Derek

Thanks for your question. I have a new solution for you.
Go to the 'Manage Event Groups' page and click on your Google-Cal group name to edit its properties. Finally, choose your time zone and click 'OK'.
I hope that helps,

Derek Illchuk replied on September 01, 2009 16:00 to the problem "Calendar as a backdrop" in Calendars That Work:
Thanks for your question. Although, I'm not sure what you mean by backdrop, could you explain? My calendars are Microsoft Word documents. To get the latest calendar, go to http://www.calendarsthatwork.com, browse through the left-side calendar menu for a good format, choose the calendar's starting date, then click 'Get Your Calendar'.
Derek Illchuk replied on August 27, 2009 16:38 to the question "How to download as openoffice not word?" in Calendars That Work:
Thanks for your question.
Each calendar is a .doc file, which can be viewed in either Microsoft Word or OpenOffice. So, there's no distinction.
If you have both Word and OpenOffice on your system, then the calendar is probably viewed automatically in Word. To view in OpenOffice, be sure to choose 'Save' when downloading the calendar. Or, right click on that link that pops up to the right of the 'Get Your Calendar' button and choose 'Save as' to save to your desktop. Finally, start up OpenOffice and from within, open up the calendar file.
I hope that helps,

Derek Illchuk replied on August 19, 2009 20:58 to the question "How do I print calendars for the next 6 months?" in Calendars That Work:
To get the next six months, set the Number of Calendars field -- beside the Starting Date field -- to 6. This will require the full-access membership.
For example, you can see that field here on the Monthly Landscape page.
Take care,
Derek
Derek Illchuk replied on August 03, 2009 16:33 to the problem "I want my calendar to print sideways!" in Calendars That Work:
It sounds like you're viewing the calendar using Microsoft WordPad, a free and underpowered word processor. Unfortunately, WordPad doesn't know how to display these calendars well at all.
The solution? Install a full-featured word processor, as follows:
Microsoft Word - commercial software
OpenOffice - free software
I hope that helps,

Derek Illchuk replied on July 22, 2009 00:12 to the question "Fiscal year calendar" in Calendars That Work:
Thanks for your question.
To get what you'd like, do something like the following:
1. Go to that calendar's download page.
2. Change the 'Starting Date' field to 'Oct 2009'.
3. Change that 'Minimum number of days in the first week' field on the right to '3' or less.
4. Click 'Get Your Calendar'.
So, that 'Minimum number of days' field helps decide how to split the week that falls between each month, and the right value depends on your needs.
I hope that helps,
Derek Illchuk
Derek Illchuk replied on July 14, 2009 18:25 to the question "Frustrated Mom Making My Own Mom Agenda Needs Help" in Calendars That Work:
Thanks for your question. Here's an example that I hope helps you out.
- Go to, say, the Monthly Portrait calendar page.
- Click the 'size' option on the right, then click 'fine-tune'.
- Set the width to, say, 70%.
- Set the height to, say, 80%
- ** Change the size field from 'letter' to 'best-fit'. **
- Finally, click 'Get Your Calendar'.
I hope that's close. And, when you have the calendar open in Microsoft Word, use the ruler found above and beside the document to determine whether it's about right, instead of printing each try.
Take care,
Derek

I apologize for the non-responsive website, a thunderstorm knocked out the power to the hosting company this morning. The outage lasted for approximately three hours.
If you are a paid member and this genuinely caused you stress or a missed opportunity, please email me at derek@calendarsthatwork.com. I'll add one, three, or six months to your membership - your call - as long as you let me know how it affected you.
I can also cancel your membership and refund your purchase according to the 60-day guarantee.
P.S. This stressed me out too!
Again, I'm sorry for the outage,
