Hi Patrick,
You can currently do this with Dipity.
Here's how:
1. Navigate to the topic page you'd like to merge
2. Copy the URL in the browser url bar
3. Navigate to the topic page you'd like to add the first topic to
4. Click the 'add sources' button (you have to be an editor of the second topic page).
5. Click the 'Another Dipity Topic' button
6. Paste in the URL of the first topic page and press 'Include Dipity Topic' button and presto! the topics should be merged.

Derek Dukes replied on October 07, 2008 05:22 to the question "Embedding and copyright" in Dipity:
Hi Jottce,
Thanks for asking. Basically, Dipity requires some rights to be able to store, display etc. your content in order to run the service. As for your content, you own the rights and terminate any of Dipity's rights to the content based on your termination of your account or removal of that content from the service.

Hi guys, we understand your frustration here. Feeds should update quickly and continually. We've had a hard time with this one, with on-again off-again problems. Some feeds are still taking up to a few days to get updated. This is clearly not acceptable to us and we'll keep working hard to make the update continual and reliable. We hope you'll bear with us as we grow, and thanks for using Dipity.

A comment on the question "Can Dipity export timelines?" in Dipity:
An image output would be GREAT, say PNG. A wide image: enough zoom so ALL the events are visible and then a snapshot. – jadi, on August 15, 2008 19:04

is the "child timeline" simply a timeline that is posting its posts to a larger timeline or did i miss a button somewhere? also, can we add something like a navigation tree showing the related parent and child timelines on the timeline page. was thinking of just using links in the details section... can we do html in there or should i use the comments section?
