Yeah, we are pretty sure that it has something to do with our servers. The freezes seem to correspond with our server errors.

I agree that this would be a very useful feature, and keywords would definitely be an asset.
We have been planning to implement this for a while, but haven't had time to do it yet. When we do, we will be sure to blog about it!

As you pointed out, ScrnShots is for sharing inspirational design. However, there is a lot of inspiration that can be gathered from the gaming industry as well.

Basically, use your best judgement when uploading gaming screenshots. if you're uploading screenshots of frame-by-frame action then it's no longer design based, but if it's within reason, by all means, show us some inspiring gaming designs!

Thanks for the feedback.

I totally understand where you're coming from.

We actually used to automatically crop large images at the top, but we ran into problems now and then with there being nothing at the top of the page. Based on our own internal tests we found that there was almost always something in the middle, so we decided to crop the middle.

I'd actually like to hear about what others have to say about this. Does anyone else have the same or similar issues?

Ultimately user cropping is probably the best solution, but I don't see it happening in the next little while.

We are aware of the issue, we just don't have the time to implement right now.

If you manually change the page # in the url, you can navigate your favorites that way. I know it's not perfect... but it's something?

I completely and wholly agree with you.

We are becoming quite a large community, and as a result, things like this are hard to avoid. We are doing our best to catch it, and remove problematic users.

The best way that you can help us keep the community clean, is by flagging inappropriate screenshots when you come across them. That way we can review them and take the necessary actions for prevention in the future.

So, we were thinking that we could maybe concatenate the description to 50 characters or something like that... what does everyone think of that?

The reason for not adding a title field is that it's just another field for people to leave blank. I just think of Flickr. I only ever use one of the 2 options: title or description.

Shup integrates with ScrnShots, so that's why i suggested shup. but yes jing is another option

My only suggestion right now would be to try Shup: http://shup.com/. It might not solve all of your needs, but most of our windows users are using it.

Thanks for the input. We've had a few suggestions for something similar to this.

I'm assuming that you mean a global favorites RSS feed, but if you're looking for RSS feeds for favorites, you can also subscribe to individual users favorites feeds.
