I've seen this before with Firefox users. One user resolved the problem by not having FlickrExport launch the Flickr landing page after export (turn off the "Open Flickr after export" checkbox).
Does Firefox 3 do any better? Today is the big download record-breaking day, I think :-)
WWDC was _insanely_ busy this year, but it really moved my iPhone/Flickr projects forward.

Thank you. Your answer resolves my problem. I installed the latest beta.
Regarding UI behaviour, wouldn't it make more sense for the Export Photos window NOT close when FlickrExport detects that the beta has expired? It should simply redisplay the message if FlickrExport is selected as the Export tool. The window should stay open so that the user can change the Export tool.
Thanks,
Francis.

On Windows XP, Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 6 - in the window title bar, you see me[a square box]tal. And when I edit the Flickr title, there are two characters, e and ́. Safari is alright.
On Mac OSX Leopard, Firefox 2, the window title bar displays correctly, but there are two characters when I edit the Flickr title. Safari is alright.
How was WWDC?
Thanks,
Francis.

You'll need to download the latest beta from http://connectedflow.com/flickrexport.... At that point you can either: (a) install the latest version or (b) hit the uninstall button to remove FlickrExport entirely.

How to disable expired beta flickrexport 3.0.ob23 in iPhoto?I can't change my Export Photos option to Export File instead of FlickrEport because the beta has expired.
After clicking OK, the Export Photos window closes!

Hi,
Thanks for clarifying that!
It doesn't look like that is included in the new edition. I did a search through Safari of the content of the iPhoto '08: The Missing Manual and there is nothing close to Complete Design Freedom for Geeks or Design Freedom, or even templates. I also did some Google searches and didn't turn up anything helpful.

Chris,
I found chapter 10 of the '06 edition on the O'Reilly site:
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/iphoto...
On pages 212 and 213, in a "Power Users’ Clinic" there's a piece called "Complete Design Freedom for Geeks".
An updated version of this is exactly what I'm hoping to find in the '08 edition.
Thank you,
Francis.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay in responding. I couldn't find the section in the previous edition where you can edit the book templates. There is a section called "Phase 3: Design the Pages", which is also included in the iPhoto '08 Missing Manual, but it's not really about editing the templates. If you could tell me where it is specifically, I can check the new edition for you.
